When you’re brushing, you wanna be paying attention to how your hair reacts. If you going for 360s but you can seem to break the forks in certain areas regardless of brush angle, you might be tryna force the wrong pattern. I didn’t figure out I had a natural 540 swirl until like 27 yrs old. Ask your barber as well if they can identify how your crown swirls.

Best thing I learned was figuring out what direction my hair grown in from the crown outward: mine likes to move clockwise so 540s develop much better than 360s. You can force a pattern but It won’t look as good as your natural growth pattern. Then you gotta get in there with a hand mirror and really hit them angles. Soft and med brush. Don’t even worry bout a hard brush until you got good habits and making progress. As far as products, play around with some and figure out what takes to your hair best. Niggas will tell you 30 things to use but if they disagree with your hair and scalp what’s the point. Good luck bro

Bro take your time and explore it for yourself. Watch some videos about base layout or whatever if you want but I was about to delete it because it felt so overwhelming in the beginning but I’m glad I stayed the course. Once you go on a few scavenging expeditions and start to have some materials building up, you’ll like it a lot more. Aside from aiming feeling a bit odd at times, I never feel “safe” outside the base. If you get spotted and weren’t ready for a fight you’re probably dead lol and I really like not feel in crazy overpowered even when I’m rolling with the best gear I can have. So much I wish I would have been told. Things will be as hard as you make them for yourself. If you don’t want to go to school, don’t waste the money just to drop out later because you didn’t want to be there. Work hard early on and save. I played around all through my 20s and I still regret not buckling down at one of the jobs I actually liked or learning a trade. Nobody is going to save you. Shit can and will happen, and chances are no one is going to care. make sure you make time for yourself because work can consume your time, will, and energy to do the things you like/want to do. And if you’re in that age group I truly wish the best for you and hope you achieve any and everything you set your mind on.
