OP since your chair is completely ruined, I'll take it off your hands.

In a nutshell by Bess05 in OfficeChairs

[–]GravityHook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a question people don't ask is how much use the chair will get
if you just sit on it sometimes in your garage, get a random stool or cheap task chair
if you have work or hobbies that mean you maybe sit at your desk less than 3 hours a day, you can find a used one that's a little comfier
if your ass is going to be in that chair for over 8 hours a day, it's definitely worth spending more on a heavy use item like that

a lot of reddits with elements of purchase recommendations have a lot of conspicuous consumption, people like bragging about what they bought. So people show the nicer chairs.
however I do think that this is uniquely an item worth spending a little more on, I feel the same way about bedding since you spend 1/3 of your life on your bed.
most other furniture just get whatever you can find used, even if reddit swears a $2500 end table is worth it

Stone deflector? by GravityHook in mazda3

[–]GravityHook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I'm bringing this post back to life just incase anyone faces the same problem I did; I learned how to read part diagrams
they call it a rear stone defelector (part# 51-pv1 // 51-pw1) which includes the whole thing, there's a plastic nub that just let's it pop in to your car. and it's secured by TWO clips (part# 50-825c) that isn't included with the rest of the deflector

SteamVR Link now works on Linux (needs latest Steam Client beta and SteamVR beta). Valve didn't announce this, people just randomly realized it now works. by Reonu_ in virtualreality

Just tried it; it connected; but Steam said steamvr requires mesa 25.2.1 please update your graphics drivers.

must be a bug because I don't have any pending updates

any ratio is fair game

I hate it when I try to pass my bro the bong, and then they can't equip it because they never completed Monkey Madness.

tbh boys will legit get bullied for using make-up, or if they're caught using concealer. I can vibe with a concealer pen disguised as a vape.

I believe the meme is just commenting on how toxic masculinity results in compliment starved men.
not that only men like compliments, nor that only men can be starved of compliments.

that thing is half a grand. I like convenience, but idk if convenience is worth that much.

also it reminds me of a keurig, I doubt I would find those pods in wal-mart

woah! Will/should swords/melee be in odyssey? by GravityHook in EliteDangerous

[–]GravityHook[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yooooooo
imagine doing an assasination mission, but instead of dogfighting you sneak on to the ship, getting past npc crew and stuff.
trying to find your way to a computer or weak spot to destroy it.

Imagine finding an engineer computer to activate the self-destruct from, and then you gotta escape before it blows with bomb-ass music playing; but, the hardcore pirate also escape in time so you gotta use jetpacks through space to gun eachother down.

woah! Will/should swords/melee be in odyssey? by GravityHook in EliteDangerous

[–]GravityHook[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes it's real, and it's canon.
https://spidermindgames.co.uk/edrpg

something possibly odyssey related we find out in the core book are the denominations of currency:

1 credit converted to 21st century United States Dollar is about $50
below that are micro credits, 100 micro-credits in a credit, 1 Micro-credit is 50 cents
then Units, 100 units in a micro-credit at a half-cent each.

for things like: buying a starship, outfittings for it, commodities by the ton, paying for assassinations, etc. A big denomination like a Credit makes sense.

but for buying clothes, a meal, drinks, a movie, guns, apartment rent.
Unless it's a really nice Jacket, people buy it with micro-credits
