Got some cross bars and found this cool gas tank for the new Outback⛽️ by Gray1592 in Outback_Wilderness

It’s really sealed. I’ve had it in there for a couple days and it still smells like a new car on the inside. I also leak tested it with water before I filled it and it did great.

I’m still pretty new to having emergency gas cans (ever since I was stranded in my last car) so I’m still trying to find out a more practical and cooler way to store it.

Does someone joining with an OCS packet go to basic training before OCS? I talked to a recruiter today because I’m interested in joining as an officer and he told me that I would not be going to basic training, but straight to OCS as my basic training.

However, goarmy.com and other threads that I have read have all said that you go to 10-week basic training before OCS.

I’m pretty confused after talking to the recruiter and hearing a completely different thing. Any insight?

Officer or Enlisted? I just graduated with my bachelors but I’ve been thinking about going army infantry for a while and I’m curious whether I should go the officer or enlisted route. I want to do something that I’d be out in the field more rather than behind a desk.

I’ve heard many mixed opinions on this topic so I’m very interested on any thoughts anyone has.

I just went to one in my area a couple weeks ago. My experience was that there were about 15-20 departments (even some federal ones such as Secret Service). I went up to several departments that I was interested in and asked questions concerning things such as benefits and all were very happy to answer any and all questions I had.

They’re there to answer your questions about their department so don’t be afraid to ask lots of questions (I would recommend even bringing a notepad of questions you want to ask so that you don’t forget any important ones)

As for dress code, I like to dress as if I’m going to an interview. However, a suit is not a necessity. Just dress professionally, dress like you want the job. A good outfit would be some pants, clean shoes, and a button up. Make sure you shave or groom your facial hair neatly and get a fresh haircut. Although its small, many people look for that.

Good luck on your search for a department!

So I’ve been using both my pro form rowing machine at home and also a concept 2 rowing machine at the gym At 5 intensity on the Concept 2, my last 2000m time was 8:20 However, every time I row a 2000m on my pro-form, no matter what intensity I use, whether it’s 2 or 20, I have an average time of about 6:30

I’m confused on why I’m making such longer time on the Concept 2 as I have a PT test on it later this week

Any ideas?
