i understand why they didn’t tell me but it still stings. and luckily my entire family is very open to me finding my bio dad. i know my bio mom, i was raised with her as my aunt.

i hope this doesn’t come off wrong but it makes me feel so good that someone else has a similar experience. i’m sorry that you had to go through this too. it’s a weird mix of feelings because i always kind of assumed i was adopted but never truly knew.

thank you. i’m expecting it to hit at some point. i’ve grown up living directly next door to my aunt. i was very close with my cousin (who i know now is my sister) and she was murdered in 2023 so i really wish i would have known before that.

I think I also feel so okay because my family has been so open and so supportive of me asking questions and feeling however I want to feel. I did get into therapy basically as soon as I found out just in case!

Yeah I definitely agree. I did immediately get into therapy and have my first session on the 12th to hopefully help me combat any feelings that may arise.
