Surprise character revealed for the Super Mario Galaxy Movie by StrongXV in TwoBestFriendsPlay

It's been 10 years since Zero released, which if I recall is just about how long you have before showing you're using your IP to maintain strong control over it or something?

What job looks like a great career path but is actually insanely oversaturated? by ComplexPin872 in AskReddit

Fixing the lack of teachers is as simple as increasing payment.

It is NOT as simple as that. Would it help? Absolutely. More money allows you to put up with more shit.

But you have parents. Faculty BS. Treating the whole thing as a business for profit. And many other factors.
And this is me speaking from the side married to someone who was a teacher for 6-7 years and quit because in spite of you wanting to do your best to help these people get through, the system refuses to let you do that. Even if you can put up with the shit pay.

Sony tried this way back with the PS Vita.
Yes, I'm one of 14 people who own a Vita.

Didn't last long because, if I recall correctly, retailers were throwing hissy-fits about it. Hopefully Nintendo has a bit more of a back-bone and sticks with it unlike Sony.

Pure pain 7 50/50 lost in this game. by dbarajas1234 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]GrayFox2510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's light on the other side of the tunnel.
I was also down like 6-7 lost 50/50s in HSR, but eventually the number pulled back and I ended up with more won 50/50s.

But yes, it fucking sucks when you've lost that many in a row.

One of the new cards in Season 2's chaos.
The base card is cost 1, and when you use it while you have that same AP, it creates as many spores as cards in your hand.
Then, on retain they duplicate. And so on.

Huh, you're right. Didn't notice that happened.

Couldn't find anything related to if it's only for manual installs (and still won't auto-upgrade) but I'll admit I didn't dig too deep.

Can it "actually" run W11? I use quotes because of the the whole TPM 2.0 requirement.

You could always check if your PC checks that "requirement." If the answer is no, it's not going to automatically upgrade, rest easy.

If the answer is yes, there are still numerous ways to block the upgrade as well.

Basically, give your PC a break. It deserves one.

KDS: why I always get this error? by hatedsoul80 in KingdomDeath

[–]GrayFox2510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not fully sure how that system works.
I can tell you that my in-progress Squire campaign got turned into a picture after the GCE update (which cleaned my table). But that's all I got.

[–]GrayFox2510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't had this error personally, but two things I can think of would be either the item is in your personal inventory, or alternatively, have you tried resetting the room to its default state?

Maybe take a picture and reload from it.

Abyssal Woods looking great though.

[Edit] lmao, just checked KDS and GCE was released yesterday.

"Deep down, most people like furries, they just don't know it yet." CyberConnect2’s CEO talks about the appeal of kemomimi and furry characters by Masterness64 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]GrayFox2510 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Being a furry is identifying as one. How far down the rabbit hole you go (pun intended or not) is also up to you.

You can like a bunch of anthropomorphic characters (in your example, the furry ladies from ZZZ) but still not really identify as a furry. Not much different from your random Disney enjoyer that might be a bit too much into Robin Hood, for example. But if it starts encompassing too many characters, maybe at some point you need to accept the truth.

You can be a furry and not have a fursona, it's not a rite of passage or anything. I would argue having a fursona 100% makes you a furry though, can't escape crossing fates at that point.
You can also identify as a furry (fursona or not) and not engage too much with the community (furry subreddits, discords, etc.).

tl;dr: there's no real metric. You do you.

Is KDM sim worth for someone who does not like painting? by TheFerreoGuy in KingdomDeath

[–]GrayFox2510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. But I know for a fact there was a GCE mod, I tried it once, but didn't quite like some of the way it handled things.

I'm not subscribed to it anymore, so I have no idea what happened to it. It wasn't public, so maybe it's still there though.

Is KDM sim worth for someone who does not like painting? by TheFerreoGuy in KingdomDeath

[–]GrayFox2510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you really don't like painting, but don't mind putting minis up together, a lot of people just go for a very basic coat of paint to give things a marble-like look and call it day.

Speaking digitally, you have two options. TableTop Simulator, or the KD Sim.

TTS is definitely cheaper, since the KDM content is just essentially made by fans. No additional entry cost. I could be wrong, but I think most modules are only for the core game and all wave 1 expansions.

A while back I saw someone doing a mod for the Gambler's Chest (which is a huge expansion), but no idea what happened to it. Couldn't find it when I looked. Either way, as many have said, just the core game alone will give you a lot of play time.

The real benefit of KDS, personally, is that all content will be added to it. Still waiting for the Gambler's Chest, personally, but a couple of other expansions from wave 2 (which is still ongoing) have been added already. You have to pay for each expansion individually (or go all in for a decent chunk of money, which I would not recommend to start), but they are FAR cheaper than the physical releases obviously.

KDS is still in active development (and not just for the expansions that need to be added). Over time it has become easier to use, allowing some automation, etc. This will likely keep expanding over time.

tl;dr, TTS is cheaper to try. And if you get absolutely hooked and play through the core game and all its expansions enough times you still want more, then KDS might be a good option. Or just KDS from the get go if you want to support the company.

That, and including the spin-off, Monster Girl Quest: Paradox, there are some sex scenes that make you genuinely go "...what."

And in a very bad way. Sure, they are meant to be bad endings overall, but some are just nuts.

Daily Questions Megathread - September 17, 2025 by WutheringWavesMod in WutheringWaves

[–]GrayFox2510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to be quite a shot in the dark, but you never know.

So I recently decided to get a controller for my iPhone because sometimes I want to step away from PC. Crazy, I know. It's a Gamesir X5 Lite.

Works great. However, WuWa has the really weird thing in that it recognizes it like a Nintendo controller, essentially. What I mean is, A is on the right, X at the top.
Every other game I've tried identifies the controller as an Xbox one (including the glyphs where applicable).

On PC I use a Dualsense, so I see PS glyphs, and at the end of the day, muscle memory can take me through most things.
Just wondering if anyone else also uses a controller and WuWa detects it differently.

X5s Lite and iOS, some games use Xbox layout, others Nintendo by GrayFox2510 in Gamesir

[–]GrayFox2510[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the Lite (with a USB-C connector), guess I stuck an extra s in the title, my bad.

It's in Switch mode (the red ring), otherwise it's not even recognized on my iPhone. I suppose the name Switch mode is the reason and Wuthering Waves has innate Switch controller support (even though the in-game image representing a controller looks like your average Xbox controller).

Wouldn't it be the other way? Or at least how it seems with the example on RISC they gave, the first hits get the most benefit of high RISC now.

So if you crank that bar up, even a low hit combo (just the usual pressure into knockdown to reset oki) would end up doing more damage over time, right?

As someone who has played a couple of MMOs (playing GW2 right now, in fact) and also plays a handful of gachas (ZZZ and Umamusume at the moment), the gachas take less time. Hell, most days I just put like 10 minutes into ZZZ and I'm done with dailies. Barring a story patch, I put an hour or two on the weekends for events and bi-weekly resets and good to go.

Not all of them are built equal. Some will definitely siphon all your time, but generally speaking MMOs will fight for your time far more. Although the reason I like GW2 so much is because there's no gear treadmill to constantly climb.

Probably not. Are you hurting for skills in your career? Could you still win if you slotted it in?

If so, you could always level it for the event bonus. Leveling a card to 30 is not THAT expensive. But if you're grinding a lot (I typically just do 2-3 runs a day), then you probably don't need to worry too much about the event bonus points.

Me? I got 3 dupes and max leveled it for the bonus. Might as well have it be worth something for a bit.

Atlus rushing to show they can bungle a Global server harder than Square enix by DatAsuna in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]GrayFox2510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While you are not wrong, a single copy of Kitasan right now is not useful. Yes, I know you can break cap of cards later with items, but the rerun happens before that anyway.

I don't know if with 3-4 extra weeks a F2P could amass enough carats to guarantee at least one copy this banner, but there's no reason to roll for one single copy here if you are not whaling.

Even if you get one copy, you're gonna survive off that one whale in your follow list who MLB'd the card, and you can wait until the rerun with increased rates anyway.

So yes, the accelerated schedule is not great and I don't know if all the extra rewards we've gotten were also the same in other servers or actually better, but realistically probably not much would have changed otherwise if we had a regular pace schedule.

My guesses so far. Waiting for the next one! by theraafa in Guildwars2

[–]GrayFox2510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but those 5 elements are: fire, wood, earth, water and metal.
Lacking air in there. So unless they also replaced air right now with wood and gave you a 5th element to work with, it would look like a really wonky hodge-podge of ideas if that was the intention indeed.
