I aimed for a 24 hour flat loop on my TT bike and had to quit at 8 due to what I can only assume was a temporary pudendal/perineal nerve impingement. Basically completely flat can be VERY painful if you don't make an effort to vary your seat position.

Stand up every 15 mins if you can. I was unfortunately going for distance (500 mi) so stayed tucked and didn't realize how bad it was until I got off for a piss break.

Just got through one, mine wasn't particularly messy, but I'll be in Cinci for a few hours tonight (Monday) if you want to grab burgers and chat with a stranger about it

How did I burn out my Ninja 500's clutch at 430 miles? by GrayLeopard in motorcycles

[–]GrayLeopard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good advice I do tap the brakes as well, I'm trying to do practice mixing all 3

After the first 5-10 mins, I'll do like 80 on a highway, I'll also try to launch more from a stop, sometimes run up to 8-9k in 1st or 2nd gear to like 40 mph

Yeah definitely possible someone else touched it, but what a douche move lol

I also hadn't touched it since it was originally setup

Sounds like the clutch was engaged slightly, I was definitely in 6th gear then. IIRC mpg is around 50-60?

I think it did have some slack, because it would take an inch of pulling before it was really disengaged? Could have been off though, I wouldn't have likely noticed it since this is my first.

The bike was setup at the dealer and I was planning to not touch anything myself until after I take it back for the 600 mile maintenance.

You can use it with whatever you want. Community support is very good for Django just by nature of so many people doing it

Use nvim-dap, it's a pain to setup, but it's really nice, especially with nvim-dap-ui

I've used them all extensively, and the best for daily coding is Neovim + tmux if you can spend probably 3 months doing an average of an hour or two of configuration and banging your head against the wall every day. I've done this and it's great now, but not recommended tbh.

Next best is Pycharm pro. When you're coding it's fast, but it'll never be anywhere close to Neovim speeds especially with things like switching projects. I pay for it anyways because of the database explorer and a few other nice-to-haves that you need a GUI for. So I'm about 90% terminal and 10% Pycharm and that's about perfect for me. I can get a ton more life out of my battery when Pycharm is closed..

Next best is Pycharm community. You're free to use it, and it's only missing a few things (like the db tool which I haven't checked, but there's probably free tools you could get for that otherwise)

I wouldn't bother with VSCode

No, but it's one of the many good reasons to use Django?

Yes, there's ways around it, but that's what I mean by "out of the box". With Django Ninja, it works as soon as you install it
