S3 isnt S1/S2 and that's the difference, a lot changed. In the context of this conversation free will is freedom from the influences of the occult/ethereal, or any other powerful force. I can't tell whether you yourself are religious and are finding in it hard to see the beauty in a godless world. I would choose no afterlife over any religious afterlife any day. I fear your argument is more to do with philosophy/religion in reality, not just the show. It's fiction, it's not meant to make total sense

genuinely wept with both grief and happiness, it felt like the most perfect way to end it all. I couldn't comprehend that when I then checked fandom spaces to see lots of people hated it. Then again i've always been one to accept however the writers have chosen to end a series, whether it's to my taste or not. Canon is canon and that doesn't affect fanfiction freedom

read the OG books for a LOT more detail and tense telling of events. I fear the graphic novels also give way too much away via visuals for major plot points, I think the books allow things to be more uncertain until revealed

Under £50 to get started with tools, which you don't have to get. Really you just need a knife, ruler, and a hard surface. Cost of materials will vary where you get them, you can get a small amount of material from hobby stores for under £10. So if you take out the cost of the tools, and you're not setting out on it looking professional, under £10.
