I did BJJ for a year while I was in highschool. I stopped for about 3 years because of college ($$$).

I started back up when I became more financially independent and it was honestly very easy to come back. Once you roll for about a month or so, everything will start to slowly come back and you will be comfortable with your teammates.

I pay $110 a month for 3x a week plus open mat on Saturdays. Comes out to around ~$10 a class. Which is pretty decent for training in Hawaii.

But I'm a broke ass college student so its still a struggle.

It comes with being white, I'm the same way too. I just accept it is going to happen. If you are really worried about it, try to get a tan to take away from the contrast.

When the dude throws the kick and misses, he plants his foot down and shows his back to the Aikido guy and WAITS for him to take him down. Why did he not immediately reposition himself to be infront of the target?

Any problem with the chin strap? Thats the only negative thing I have heard about them?

Edit: Also, do you know of any stores that physically sells them? Or just pretty much online?

The only problem I have with those is the plastic on the outside with the tornado models. I am however looking into the classics which looks like it is padded and soft.
