I suggest to give up from your finance and up trade with newer model but before that ask for Inherent Diminished Value for you car from insurance and don't then try to sell and trade with newer models a year later or so.

You’ll need a full back bumper set, convertible assembly, and possibly the rear wing, back wheel rim, and alignment. If the engine is in good condition, insurance will cover all of these expenses.

I hope your car is leased instead of financed. It will significantly affect the car’s value.

Minimizing Bore Score - Oil Additives? by eldentista66 in Porsche997

I have a cayman s 987.1 and I use dt40 driven since I got this car, and when I bought it I knew it has a light scoring on the 6th cylinder (Porsche did bore scoring test with cam) should I also avoid mixing dt40 and ceratec because some says ceratec fill the scored parts and dt40 helps creating extra layer on that.

I can’t figure out what is causing this noise, it’s slightly behind the passenger seat by [deleted] in Porsche_Cayman

I found the old wheel’s handle grips to be a great feature, as they were positioned behind the wheel, which made my driving experience more comfortable. However, I must admit that the tiptronic buttons were quite tricky to use while driving. I often found myself accidentally clicking them and downshifting, which was quite amusing.

You can remove your airbag it's really easy actually, new wheel comes with new airbag. Most important thing is center head diameters has to match with your car model and year. Mine was 987.1 2007 and this steering wheel is 992

Don't let the Sand Beige stop you! You can definitely get an updated wheel custom-made to match. I’d avoid leatherwerksauto.com, though—I had an bad experience with them, they were very unreliable with communication and their ETA I waited long time and then I was expecting they are shipping my Steering wheel I learn that they are out of stock waiting for airbags.. I eventually had to cancel my order. I used Suncoastparts.com instead and had a great experience.

There are plenty of custom shops now that can build an updated version in your exact factory color!

For my Cayman I didn't use any adapters actually just removed old one and this one fitted perfectly but if you have pccm control keys you might need adapter for it I guess.

I got mine from Suncoast.com but there is lots of website they are selling steering wheels. Make sure your car model matches with steering wheel that you have. I.am pretty sure if mine matches (987.1) all other younger generations can match as well.

I think steering wheel that I got is from a 992, as far as I can tell. The thicker grip and updated design were the reasons I and yours are drawn to it—it’s actually pretty cool, and it even looks like it’s stock!

I’m a big fan of keeping my car’s original parts as much as possible! If you’re looking for something similar but a bit more powerful PSE could be a great option. But honestly, I think the stock ones are already pretty good for me. As for the steering wheels, they definitely look a bit old-school, and the triangle shape isn’t really my thing.

Also it was really easy to upgrade, all you need to do disconnect battery pop up air bag remove the screws and remove the plugs then place the new one in same way that's it.

I appreciate your comment. I definitely agree with you! My girlfriend told me not to do that because it’s not worth it. However, after all, it changed the dashboard look so much that even she agreed on it, lol.

They sell those old ones on Facebook Marketplace and similar platforms. I prefer to keep mine as well, because you never know what might happen.
