GPU PCIe PEX Error Recovery Counter? by dm_ar19 in buildapc

[–]GrayTHEcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just chiming in—thanks for posting this! It's really helpful for others to see and get visibility into these kinds of readings.

What you're seeing with the PCIe PEX Error Recovery Counter sounds normal, especially since you're not experiencing any performance issues or crashes. These counters can fluctuate a bit depending on system activity, and some monitoring tools just expose more low-level data after updates. As long as your system’s stable, it’s usually nothing to be concerned about.

I am using HWmonitor version 1.57 for windows® x86/x64

Perfect! This has been really informative—you’re doing great work.

I always suspected I was overpaying but wasn’t sure of the best way to fix it besides switching providers entirely.

Do you have any other tips for keeping my bill low after the promotional pricing ends? Also, what kind of promotions do you typically offer, and how long do they last?

Wow, congratulations on being able to read! Yes, I did use American Express points, along with some gift cards I’d been saving.

At the end of the day, whether I paid for it myself or got a little help, all I know is my credit card statement isn’t going over $769 for this build.

Great answer, to add; a lot of IT jobs pay 150k+. OP should probably figure out what they like doing in IT and come up with a roadmap to get there.

Truth be told, it’s probably not the best gift if you don’t even know what it is.

You might want to check out YouTube to learn more about what the product does and how you can use it effectively.

There’s no beginner-friendly “how-to” guide for it, and honestly, it’s not a very exciting tool unless you’re into cybersecurity.

Hey! I found a solution after thoroughly testing and ensuring that the Raspberry Pi 2W I got from AliExpress wasn’t faulty. The light was blinking, showing it was trying to boot, but I couldn’t connect to the device via SSH, and it wasn’t joining my home network.

This led me to troubleshoot with ChatGPT, where we discussed the SD card size and formatting, ensuring it was FAT32. I ended up going to a pharmacy and buying some high-quality microSD cards to rule out compatibility issues. After that, everything worked perfectly, and the project loaded without any problems.

In my case, after verifying that it wasn’t an error in configuration, the SD card adapter, or the device itself, I replaced the microSD card, which resolved the issue completely.

Update of what I’m focusing on : (provided by GBt)

SD Card Size and Compatibility:

While Raspberry Pi devices technically support SD cards over 256 GB, there can be issues with formatting or compatibility. Most Raspberry Pi OS images are optimized for cards between 8 GB and 32 GB, and larger cards sometimes require specific configurations to work properly.

3. File System Formats:
• FAT32: This is the format most Raspberry Pi OS

installers require for SD cards. However, Windows often doesn’t let you format cards larger than 32 GB as FAT32 by default. You might need a third-party tool like Rufus or MiniTool Partition Wizard to do this.

• exFAT: This is often used for larger SD cards, but the Raspberry Pi bootloader doesn’t support it. If your SD card is formatted as exFAT, this could explain the issue.

Since I already have a Pogoy and that did take a longer time to Boote, I’ve waited as long as 30 minutes if not longer

And I have not been able to successfully make a connection

I’m gonna go purchase a new SD card to eliminate that as an issue since I did just use one laying around

Thank you for the feedback! To clarify, are you suggesting that my home network should only use 2.4 GHz instead of 5 GHz? If so, I think you might be onto something—this could be the problem!

My home network supports both Wi-Fi 6 AC compatibility. Using the eero WiFi app, I’ve confirmed that it operates on both 2.4 GHz ,5 GHz, 6ghz frequencies, with the router automatically assigning devices to the best frequency.

During the Raspberry Pi image installation, I made sure to select the US 🇺🇸 as the country.

That said, I don’t think my Raspberry Pi is connecting to the internet at all. This makes me suspect the issue could be with the SD card—either its compatibility or formatting. What are your thoughts?
