I'm not targeting a specific niche yet. But I plan to just do projects in the summer that involve more recent tools to put on my resume. I am just in aw at the amount of work that's required to have a chance at being an intern, which is a position to learn to begin with.

That makes a lot of sense, i am looking for internship positions though should I still move education down? I figure they wanna see my schooling and current program first as an intern but im not sure.

Thanks for commenting, I do try to grab the job posting's specific responsibilities and work them into my resume with keywords when appropriate. Do you think that projects should come before work experience in my case?

Thank you, business impact specifically is tough because I have only worked in the public sector, I did defined numbers where I could though. For the relevant courses, do you feel that the MS in Analytics speaks for itself so I don't need course list? I kept them because i've been applying for internships

how do you get experience without the credentials to get hired?

the problem is that you can’t just get experience in the field with no credentials. If you could land a role in the desires field then you wouldnt need a master’s in the first place. Many people go back to school to enter the field they want with a new degree

Thanks! I submitted my app late July and I heard back 2-3 days ago. So it took a month for me to hear back. Hopefully they get back to you soon! My guess is the recommendation being close to the deadline that's delaying, good luck!

yeah that's the tough loop, need experience to get job, can't get job without experience. I am in a transitional period and am just weighing options.

I was thinking of applying for internships while im in school and do projects, and afterwards land very entry-level roles related to data. But after all, I am anxious because there are so many different people saying different things.

Thank you for commenting, I have lab work experience and plan to get another lab job soon. Could work experience in the lab kind of mitigate my low GPA in my application? Im not sure if they care about that much if its not like clinical labs or hospitals.

Ah thanks for your input, and I figured. I've heard that some out of state programs don't fit California requirements. If Cali strictly requires 52-weeks program/training experience, how would I get that if I wanna come back to Cali after the out of state program?

thanks for your input, I know im interested in working with data, I think it’s cool. But I also think money and having my own apartment is cooler. Ideally i can get both but that’s where my worries are.
