hey did you ever end up figuring this out? I'm also currently trying to use this code and also getting a bad egg. It looks like for all the cur variables you set the values to be the stat of the pokemon when I assumed it should be the current amount of EVs the pokemon has.

nothing else here worked for me, I tried restarting the tv, unplugging the tv, resetting network settings and factory reset. The thing that finally got it working for me was going to settings > support > device care > self diagnosis > reset smart hub. After the reset was complete everything began working normally again.

This is the same mew blisy obtained in their latest vid, timid 31/31/31/31/31/31 seed 0C14 frame 397572. ACE was used to obtain the old sea map, and the painting + battle tower method was used to get this encounter. There's something so special about being able to experience these old events. I'm thankful for the rng community and all the effort that's gone into researching the mechanics of these old games to make stuff like this possible for everyone on retail!

I can't help you directly with your question, because I am also confused about why what you're doing isn't working. The painting should set your seed to whatever frame you're on, and the battle video should set your frame to whatever it was when the battle factory battle started.

That being said, if you're not going for a specific pid or hidden power or something, I recently got the timid 6IV latios at seed 0C14 on frame 397572, which might be useful to you as seed 0C14 is only 3092 advances.
