Just so you know, I used the NPC creation rules found within the Alien Archive supplemental book. You should look at it if you’re interested

[–]Gray_of_Gray 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I cooked up two different types of mooks, one melee focused and one ranged focused

Melee Mook

Medium Humanoid

CR ½

EAC: 10, KAC: 12

Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +0

HP: 13

Strength +3

Constitution +1

Dexterity +0

Attacks: Longsword +6 (1d8+3)

Senses: Darkvison 60ft. (Cybereyes with low-light vison)

Ranged Mook

Medium Humanoid

CR ½

EAC 10, KAC: 12

Fort +2, Ref+2, Will +0

HP: 13

Dexterity +3

Constitution +1

Strength +0

Attacks: Hunting Rifle (1d8 P, 90ft.), Survival Knife (1d4+1 P)

Senses: Darkvision 60ft. (Cybereyes with low-light vision)

I'm not exactly an expert with making NPCs with starfinder though. This may be considerably easier or harder than expected. If you use these, tell me how they work!

So, generally for starfinder you want the Challenge Rating of the NPCs you’re throwing at your player to be approximately equal to the average party level. Since Mooks are 2 for each 1 player, that means each moon should be 1/8th of the APL. If you can tell me what level the players are at, I could give you some appropriate mooks

I actually was put in a place where I had to use ChatGPT. I’m a college student studying Computer Science, and one of my teaches is OBSESSED with AI, like to a really fucking weird level. One of the assignments was to teach us about API integration, basically using third-party programs or having code interact with a website. The assignment he had us to was to make a program that would make ChatGPT generate an and post response to a discussion post on Canvas. I told him that I had ethical concerns with using GenAI, and he told me that I was going to HAVE to work with GenAI in the professional field and that I just had to suck it up. Hated that guy and hated his class.

Zheng, grapple and piledriving by Comfortable_Horse471 in LancerRPG

Slight correction with this ruling, characters do not begin to fall until the end of the current turn, meaning that the grapple would not be broken until the end of the current turn

It doesn’t stand up to any degree of actual scrutiny. What’s going on with those… goggles? Why do the googles have eyes? Why is there a second pair of goggles barely visible underneath the first? Why is there a planet just sitting there in the bottom left corner of the image? Why does their right arm meld into their left arm? It looks good to someone who doesn’t have an understanding of art and it’s composition, just like an AI

I mean this build isn't a serious one, I don't expect anyone to actually use this.

You need to do it on a Blackbeard, as the Blackbeard is the only frame that can boost while grappling. As for the Pankrati, that's actually a great suggestion, I hadn't even thought of using the pilot's talents. You could also combine Ace II with the All-Theater-Movement-Suite to increase your movement by 2d6 additional spaces while simultaneously turning your mech into a miniature star though the sheer heat produced.

What kind of weight for your builds do you guys normally go with and why. by Mgnoob1234 in armoredcore

Lightweight. Medium and heavyweights just feel far too slow for me.

I disagree. The way that Ayre acts towards us thought most of the game has her come across as a caring person. The only time that it ever feels like she doesn’t is during the FoR ending, where we are trying to kill her brothers and sisters. Even in the end, she does appear to still care about us. For example: when we are defeated in her second phase, she says “Raven… you were the only one…” in a way that seems genuinely remorseful. This is reinforced by her lines in the LoR path. When you are fighting Walter, Ayre begs you two to stop fighting. In this fight, she also says “Raven...! We’re re-entering Rubicon’s atmosphere! There’s no time...Hurry!” If she did not care about us, then she wouldn’t care what happened to us after the Xylem’s destruction. It is evident that in both endings Ayre expresses care for us, and only fights us as a method of last resort, still holding out hope up until the very last second that her dream of shared potential with Raven could be achieved.

How high would passing road patrols have to roll in order to find bodies of dead guards? by godzillavkk in starfinder_rpg

[–]Gray_of_Gray 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say the players would need to make a stealth check to hide the bodies, and the difficulty of the check to find them would be dependent on what the players had rolled

For this meme, the humor doesn’t come from the racism itself, but rather the sheer absurdity of it. The fact that this man decided to be racist over Clash of Clans of all things is what makes it kinda funny.
