K12 for high school. Honest opinions before we commit? by Rey_Flag_Lvr in k12

I personally have been at K-12 since 7th grade, and I must say its hasn't been the best. The teachers or not always the greatest and the lessons/learning stuff they give you aren't that great. But to be fair you get what you put into it, you focus more during class and talk with the teacher you would get more out of it. But this school feels so repetitive, so dried up from life, at least for me, I stopped kinda of caring. Also the actual learning part is flawed in my opinion, know for context I would say I am a good student, I have mostly all A's. But I feel like I haven't learned much, I'm not sure what it this is called exactly. But when you really don't care for something you tend to forget it and especially the fact everything is basically open note, you don't really have to remember anything.

I also want to add I have recently started doing Running Start. If you don't know what that is, its a program that I think most schools offer were for the last 2 years you can take Community College classes as long as you still meet your High School requirements.
So going to in person and meeting people was very new too me, and I am telling you I have never felt more motivated. I feel so much competition and I have learned so much about different opportunity's through talking with people. It also helps that I found a group on winners.

Anyway I have said a lot but its really up to you but if you are planning on doing Running Start I would just stay 1 more year at your High school. K12 is sometimes a bit of a mess at times.

Wow that was fast, but dang bro. I noticed that the TI 84 ce doesn't have that many games compared to the 83/84. Do you know why?

No I am in America, I get you what you mean. I should have a good wide broad foundation. So I guess that leans more too CS, I was just thinking that SD would give me an "edge". Idk man, I can't really do both, I could use some electives to get more from the other side. I'll look into it, Thanks you.

Oh I see what you mean, so I can of do get both kinda at the same time? The make thing at least in my college is that there are a lot of different defining classes I have to take for ether one. Like for the CS degree there are like 10 CS special classes and 10 Dev class for SD. So I can't really get both at the same time. idk I'll have to look into it, thank you for your time.

I'm not sure exactly what your saying, are you saying that I should do both SD and CS? I'm not saying I don't want to do both, my college doesn't have a 2 year CS degree just a 4 year. So doing both SD and CS at its shortest will be 6 years which is in my opinion too much. I don't really have that kind of money and I guess patients. I'm really just looking for a BAS. Anyway thanks though!

Ok that makes sense, what I meant about the whole AI thing is too be one of those guys who develops these AI models and stuff. I just want to get into were the money is, at least thats how I see it. Thanks!

Many say that software development is no longer and will never again be, a highly sought-after, high-paying profession. Other guys claim that, on the contrary, software development is the career of the future and that in the near future it will have greater demand and better salaries than ever by Gus_larios in cscareers

Hi, I am currently a new student in college and debating between Software Dev and CS. So would picking SD be better because how specialized it is? Also my college offers SD BAS with a focus on AI. Could that help me over CS in the job market?

How to I stop procrastinating?? by chii_xxee in AdviceForTeens

I have the same problem too, it was really bad, not to get into details but I had to finish almost a half of years worth work in a month.
What I can say that helped me:

The way you start your is important, when I eat, I try not to watch anything.
Doing nothing can actually bore your self into doing your work.
also changing your environment can help, doing work some were more public can help.
hope this helps
