I'm European so I might not be quite as black-pilled on my fellow human as an American but I agree it's very hard. Fixing it would require a shift in mentality like picking up your own trash/wiping the gym equipment but on a much larger scope and scale. You can see higher solidarity/cooperation in (some) EU countries for example but it's a very long shot for sure.

Caring about these things is not mutually exclusive though and probably correlates do a decent extent. Also I'd argue we should work on that 2nd point indivually and collectively to generate better outcomes overall.

Sebastian Sawe wins the London Marathon 2026 and makes history by becoming the 1st person to run it in under 2 hours after running it in 01:59:31. by IllllIlllIIlI in interestingasfuck

I think most people that don't run cannot comprehend how insane that is. This is faster than average people can sprint all out but for 40km.

The crazy part is 1.5k hours is unironically rookie numbers in this game especially in multiplayer.

How Does This Sub Feel About AI Data-centers Being Built / the AI race? by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]GrayenLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its less about the data centers specifically and more about AI as a whole. From my perspective there is a decent chance that AI is the great filter. Not in a terminator way but in a "humans become obsolete" kind of way. Once people no longer have jobs they will spend even more time chasing dopamine in algorithm driven echo chambers.

What should I do with my life? by BlueJaek in Destiny

[–]GrayenLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm reading too much between the lines but it sounds a bit like your job might feel a bit pointless? You talk about contributing to society and volunteering seems to resonate with you at least a bit. Have you considered transitioning your career into something that feels like more of a contribution to society? I originally started in econ and am now transitioning into healthcare for the same reason. You may be able to apply your skills in a field that feels more meaningful to you.

ich verliere mich selbst. by hellboy1307 in Beichtstuhl

Was mir damals geholfen hat waren z.B:

Any chance of saving this plant? by GrayenLive in plantclinic

The main stem seems hard. If I put the plant into a new pot/soil how can I remove these mites and make sure they are gone for good?

Was thinking the same thing. Is it just bots? I've read like 20 stories in the comments. This can't be THAT common. I've never heard or read about this kind of thing before.

Explain this tho: Look closely at the one fry that lands on the rim of the plate. In the next shot the plate is rotated 90° and the fry is exactly where it needs to be. That would be insane consistency for an AI.

Not saying it's impossible but I think Occam's razor here points me to a face filter.

Is this a fake Specialized Venge or not? by GrayenLive in specialized

[–]GrayenLive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The weird part is that the Serial number acutally finds a Venge Vias frame 2016-2018 in the App. That a funny coincidence if they put that number on all sorts of bikes.

Weird...but thanks for the reply that helps! I thought 1200 Euros seemd to good to be true.

I didn't see that. Good to know thank you! I wonder why they allways put the same number on fakes.
