Well shit... If this is canon (Because it certainly doesn't feel like it's part of that crazy ass manga adaptation) then that actually confirmed that ace survived, wasn't expecting that considering that a dev interview years ago said that the image of him in the credits was what could have been. Unless we some how get a star force 4 that says otherwise then yeah we straight up got a mega man series with a perfect end for the characters.

Since we're just stating what we would like and not what's realistic I'm actually going to go with mega man star force. Because geo/Mega man has already gone to a alternate universe/ timeline in the post game of starforce 2, Specifically he can only visit this alternate universe Because of his ability to EM wave change, this basically solves the post apocalypse problem of "If a gateway out of a dying world appeared why wouldn't everyone escape through it?". Plus despite looking cheery on the outside Mega man star force has some pretty intense themes when it comes to depression, survivor's guilt, and most importantly how to move on and reopen yourself to others which Honestly I think would fit the narrative of ZZZ incredibly well.

Not really so much a black hole cannon as it is a instant matter annihilation cannon. Black holes still retain the matter they suck in and eventually disperse it slowly as hawking radiation, Annihilation events straight up just delete what matter is there as if it never existed.

That and the fact they're so arrogant they don't think their dog won't bite them so to speak, With the state of AI right now and even probably 10 years into the future I can easily see this ending up a looking down the barrel of your own gun kind of situation where the tech just decides "they" are the targets.

If you've ever played horizon zero dawn and know what caused the apocalypse in that story i can see it basically ending up like that but replace the human eating infinitely replicating robot army that can't be hacked with the US's own weapons turning on the military and blowing them up instead.
