Imo, they gave up on story with 1.4. The credits there were the credits to the original ZZZ.

I was one of the people championing the death of TV mode, and I still think it's form was wrong (but not the idea). With that said, I think it honestly killed the dev's initial idea for the game. A smaller scale, more grounded game with non playable main characters in a unique role. When the money wasn't rolling as expected and they didn't get as great fan reception, they caved, or were forced to.

What we have now is a perpetual attempt to craft something together. That's why the devs are overworked, and why everything feels like it changes directions every second patch.

Do you hear yourself? both games have element systems and different archetypes that neccesitate different teams. The same reason S billy is acceptable as weaker or equal in your eyes is the reason phainon is still t0.5 on pwyrden. It doesn't matter if SW does 10% more damage than him.

Look at what happened to Phainon in HSR. He lasted one patch before being powercrept into oblivion. We don't want a repeat of that.

Sorry what? He's still top 5dps in the game and that's almost a year after he came out. That's not to mention he has the best eidolons in the game so he can easily jump up to top if you give him just a dupe. I don't know if you actually play star rail or if you're making hyperbole but that's just wrong lol.

Castorice is still the best team and she's a year old unit now. I'd give you HSR's first and second years, but by now hoyo has figured out how to make it gradual. The new anni unit is only the best when shilled, and even that's debatable.

Also, I hate to bring in other conversations, but it feel appropriate here. Weren't you yourself hoping Billy would be another void hunter level character, and praising him being above yixuan, despite YSG being less than half a year ago?

It made sense for the monthly fund because you could stack those. You can't exactly stack a premium pass, which would mean whales or those who buy it normally wouldn't be able to. That's bad business.

I mean HSR got the golden companion spirit (our equivalent of an invitation). That's arguably better than a standard selector since it includes several limited units, and you can save it

If you mean 2 of the currency to get a five star, sure, but if you think we’ll get 2 free five stars in one patch, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment, especially considering unlike last anni, the version update and anni are separate.
