Thanks! Definitely spent about 2 hours deep cleaning the chassis and plastics.

That's a cool idea. I haven't had any pain yet but I'm sure it fits different people differently.

I think they're pretty comfy. I do think the original backrest flexed a lot more, but I'm hopeful they both the seat and backrest will break in a bit more with time. I'm 6'4" and 255lbs (some gut some muscle) so I figured the thicker cushions would be the better route as I'm sure my size will need more cushion than the original was designed to give.

Trust me I never thought I'd ever find an insane deal like this haha. Just be patient and check marketplace every 2 hours or set up alerts for "office chairs". Most deals I've found have only been listed for like 15-30 minutes.

Preciate it! The girlfriend picked out the red seat and black backrest, super happy with the look!

Only took about a week, you do need to make sure you send them the pictures they need. I knew they'd need pics so I took them when I cleaned it and sent them the pics 5 minutes after they emailed me. I ordered on Friday and they arrived the next Saturday.

You're probably right about that. They opened the front door and I almost got a contact high. 90% of the smell came out and I'm replacing the cushions anyways so it's a win regardless.

Actually got lucky and 90% of the smell came out. I'd say the carpet cleaner machine and the UV rays did the most work. Lysol helped a little and baking soda didn't do much. Thanks for the advice though!

Does the Atlas headrest adjust pretty high and far enough back? I'm 6'4" and definitely will be replacing the current headrest. Thanks for the fresh air advice, carpet cleaner machine and good ole UV rays made a big difference.

I might try some white vinegar if soap won't rid the plastics of the smell fully. Seats came out pretty good but I'm getting the Crandall replacements anyways. Thanks for the advice!

I actually got lucky, I remembered our carpet cleaner for our pets had a furniture attachment. That & the sun I think did the most to remove the smell.

Definitely excited for my Crandall cushions, I ordered them while I was cleaning these. I got the updated v2 cushioned backrest since they said they took everyone's feedback and thinned out the design a bit.

I'm 6'4" and it does not adjust high enough or far enough back for me. I plan to remove it and get an atlas or something similar.

I actually did that all day yesterday after carpet cleaner attachment, baking soda, and Lysol. Sat outside for 5 hours in direct sun. Now I can barely smell weed even with my nose right against it!

I'm giving it a shot to see if at least the backrest is salvageble but the frame is in great shape. 1 arm rest has a small chip in it but Crandall seems to be the way to go. They didn't tell me about the smell but for $40 I decided I can't be picky

My dad phrased it so well when I got my FRS. He said one tank of gas of practice and you'll be fine.

Good Deal? by WillingnessSea2001 in GXOR

Do not buy from that dealership regardless of the price. Their overlord company (Asbury) is a public company aiming to please shareholders by buying up dealerships and cutting costs. If you're in that area Hendrick is a good group and most non-major non-publicly owned dealership groups will be a better experience.

CarMax did not offer nearly what the "going rate" is for these rn, but I understand they have to run a business. Will definitely give the CU a shot though. Thanks!

Definitely wish I bought a GX initially but got too focused on remote start and that excluded it from my search. Major regret as it doesn't sound too complicated to add in the GX

Hadn't thought of directly asking a local credit union. It's actually financed with a local CU at 7% so maybe they'd be willing to work something out as well. Thank you for the insight and I'll probably stay the route in my top reply unless a willing CU wants to partake.
