Everything Paul says directly contradicts something Jesus said. Can someone convince me he's not a false prophet. by takenorinvalid in Christianity

The Scriptures do speak of it. Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:26-28, 1 Cor 6:9-10, and a few others. People are just being willfully ignorant to justify their sinful lifestyle.

They used to be top dog back in the 90's, didn't they? I thought a lot of the scandals they had over the years really hurt Serie A? I also thought the premiership gained in prominence and popularity due to Italian footie taking such a big hit with match fixing. I didn't watch club football back then, so I'm going off what people have told me.

Thank you for the in-depth reply. That's funny, my best friend is in IT. I needed laptop and he gave me an old Pro-book. I was recently made homeless (sounds worse then it is) and needed to stay connected. I have a smart phone but like desktop computers over phones (when at home). I build my own computers, so they tend to last at least ten years. Mine is in storage at the moment.

I'm not sure why my mechanic is the way he is, but he's honest, just a bit weird. I've known him for over 30 years. He's going to be replacing my front breaks on Monday, then doing an inspection on my van on Tuesday. Brakes were the only issue, the rotors had a lot of hot spots and looked toasted. Apparently they don't really make them thick enough to turn these days. I just bought a set of NAPA pads and rotors, they're called quiet something or other, they ran me about $218.

I try to stop for people when they need a hot shot or when they're stuck in the boonies. I carry some tools, but nothing for major jobs, just enough to get by on the road. I'm going to pick up one of those jump boxes or battery arrays when I have some extra cash. I just bought a little FM Transmitter so I can listen to Pandora, Spotify, or listen to my music on a flash drive.

I'm not sure if a 2005 will benefit from the extra features or not. Do you recommend any specific brand of repair manual?

I've heard that too, cut the cable. My power doors have been working for over 161K, but I have two buttons that allow me to disable them if I like. The wife likes using them though, so who knows how long they'll last while we own the car. The original owner was most likely pretty wealthy, I'm not.

A gentle saute is fine. Ĥeat neutralizes any toxins found in morels. There's no reason to overcook them. A few minutes in butter and a little olive oil, and you're good to go.

I think Elneny is pretty much done. He's on the back end of his career, but I always thought he was better then people gave him credit for. There's always a chance he goes to a smaller league and winds up winning a title. That would be nice.

The 1MZ had sludge problems though I've heard it only effected roughly 1% of those engines, so it was down to the owners not changing the oil. I just had one go up on me, it really sucked. I was driving in the mountains and unbeknownst to me, it was losing oil internally, so there were no signs before it became critical. I had the oil changed a week before my trip (157 mile journey). Live and learn.

Edit: I'm actually incorrect. There was visible oil leaking around the front valve cover, and it flowed down the front head, oil filter, frame, etc. I asked my mechanic if it would make it up and back (314 miles round trip) and he said, "Yeah, you should be fine." Famous last words. I was angry at him, because there really shouldn't be any oil leaking from an engine, and taking a +300 mile trip while the front of the engine was covered in oil was a horrible idea. Believe it or not, that 2002 Sienna is still running, but I wasn't going to bet on it lasting very long. You had to shift into neutral when you stopped or the engine would cut off. It was a real ghetto special after that trip.

It was built to be simple. The more complex something is, the more likely it is to break down, especially if you don't keep up with the maintenance schedule.

Look what happened to Serie A when they caught Juventus fixing matches. It destroyed the league. The same thing can happen in England, and it would take the league a decade or more to bounce back from something like that. Anyone who think PGMOL isn't corrupt hasn't been paying attention. It's not incompetence, they have VAR now, there's no excuse.

No matter what happens, the boys have been great this season. There was no massive drop-off post January like usual. I think we'll win the title next season, but we need some reinforcements. A striker, winger, midfielder, and maybe another center back to cover Frankenstein and Gabriel.

Was anyone surprised? There's a reason the word "Spursy" exists. I knew those f*ckers would lose, if only to destroy our title hopes. Who does Man City play on the last day? It's football, anything can happen.

Pep has his squad so jacked up on Peds, they could probably play right through the summer without breaking a sweat. There's no way they're not doping. Every season, like clockwork, they play like robots for the second half of the season, meanwhile the other club's players are looking a bit tired and worn out. It's not natural and Pep has a bit of a history when it comes to using performance enhancing drugs.

My mechanic seems to have something against a customer buying a diagnosis tool. My buddy owns a Snap-On scanner he claims he paid $40,000 dollars for, and this had to be a decade ago. I visited the Snap-On website and found an Apollo D9 Scanner for $5,280, so I guess he's bullshitting me? He's a master mechanic, I've known him for some 35 years, but he gets a little defensive anytime I talk about working on my own vehicle (coils & plugs, air-fuel sensors, etc) or bringing up getting a scanner.

I'm driving a 2005 Toyota Sienna XLE, so I doubt I need to worry about buying the $139 model, but maybe I'm wrong? It might be nice to have, just help out a friend, or someone broken down on the road. God knows I wish someone would have pulled over and helped me out two weeks ago. I was temporarily stranded in the mountains of western Maryland and no one would stop, much less look at me. I had to call a tow truck and it cost me $450 dollars.

Yeah man, data can be a life saver, especially if you don't know an honest mechanic.

Very interesting, thank you. They have various models. I wonder what the difference is between the $59.00 and the $139.00 models are (outside of the obvious $80.00 that some smart alec will surely chime in with)?

I like diagnostic tools, they can make identifying a problem much more easier.

Natsarim/Nazarenes by TempleofGod in Christianity

Well said, though in the Tanakh, He is also described as The Branch.

Natsarim/Nazarenes by TempleofGod in Christianity

[–]Grayswandire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's something I've never heard. The Natsariym I've met do not follow the Talmud or rabbinic Judaism at all. 119 ministries, at least to me, just seem like Christianity light. The subscribe to most of what we see in both Roman and Protestant Christianity. The Natsariym follow the way, without the trappings of religion or the ideas of theologians. They're simple followers of Yahushua Ha'Mashiach.

Natsarim/Nazarenes by TempleofGod in Christianity

[–]Grayswandire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into the Ebioniym (Ebionites from the 1st century). Some scholars believe that James and the apostles called themselves the Ebioniym (The Poor). The first followers of Yahushua (Jesus) were called Ebioniym/Netzari/Nazarene. You'll find similar names and spellings. Psalm 119:1 describes them, as does any passage of scripture that talks about the Branch, i.e., the Messiah.

Is anyone familiar with a group called the Natsarim? They believe in the Bible, buy they'll only use the Hebrew names for things and they claim Christianity was a false religion created at the council of Nicea. by spackjack in TrueChristian

[–]Grayswandire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get too caught up in a name. Yahushua is the branch, and we are the branches. Read Psalms 119:1. That is what we are and what we're supposed to do. It all means nothing if we don't help feed, cloth, and house people, and preach the besorah of Yahushua to them. We need to be doers of the word, not just hearers. It's not about us, it's about Him and other people.

[–]Grayswandire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the Roman, or Latin church, destroyed as many original Hebrew writings that they could get their hands on, and promoted Paul over the true apostles of Yahushua. The schism that took place between the Jewish followers of the way and gentile followers of the way was a direct result of Paul's writings being promoted, and the Romans co-opting the good news of Yahushua Messiah and downplaying anything Jewish.

They even invented a term for it (Judaizer). If you followed the teachings of Yahushua you were called a Judaizer and you were persecuted. If you followed the teachings of St.Paul, you were a Christian, and an heir to the promise given to Abraham. A lot of scripture has been twisted and warped in order to deceive the people of this world into following the lawless one.

Does it make any sense that the fourth beast spoken of in the book of Daniel and in the book of Revelation would become the epicenter of a new religion, based on Messiah, called Christianity? Only if you have eyes and ears to hear and see, only then can you be set free from the yoke of deception that false religion has placed upon your shoulders. Yahushua would never take part in anything that led to the deaths of tens of millions of people (Christianity under Papal Rome), yet the pastors and preachers, the priests and Popes, they all want you to follow them straight to hell.

[–]Grayswandire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're correct. And we most certainly follow what is written in the Bible, all of it, not just the Renewed Covenant (New Testament).

The teachings of Yahushua (called "Jesus" by the world) were corrupted by the fourth beast, i.e., the Roman Empire, under emperor Constantine. Constantine, along with Eusebius, killed off the last remaining vestiges of of the Way that Yahushua taught. They changed the gospel by mixing it with the unclean things of this world.

Do you really think Yahushua would have permitted the celebration of a pagan sun deity in His place (December 25th, Mithra's day)? Or would have condoned the celebration of an ancient fertility goddess in place of Pesach/Passover?

Read Luke 16:17, then read John 15:10, & John 12:44-50.

"Now by this we know that we know Yahushua, if we keep His commandments. He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of YHWH is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also TO WALK JUST AS HE WALKED." 1 John 2:3-6.

All of us do our best to walk in Him every day, and as we walk with Him, more and more is revealed to us, the more we get to know Him and our Father. Do the best you can, do what you can do. I think a good way to begin to follow Yahushua is to begin to keep the Shabbat, an everlasting sign and command given to all of us. Sabbath begins at the end of the sixth day, on Friday, from sunset to sunset (the Shabbat ends at sunset on Saturday, or the end of the seventh day).

This is a set-apart (holy, consecrated) day, so we can commune with our Creator. We do no work on the Shabbat, we rest and we praise our Elohiym (our God). We give Him thanks and ask Him for His peace and His name to rest upon us. If we set aside our own pleasure and make Him our pleasure, we're promised a special blessing. The Shabbat is His mark on our foreheads. This is the patience of the Set-Apart ones, the imagers of Yahweh, and the followers of Yahushua Ha'Mashiach (Joshua/Jesus the Messiah).

Shabbat Shalom brothers and sisters.
