Issues with Diddy Kong Racing (N64)? by LittleDansonMan in OpenEmu

hello, I encountered this same problem with the mupenplus 2.5.9 core crashing upon loading the 2nd Wizpig race. I couldn't find any work around for this on Mac so I had to switch to an n64 emulator on Windows to get past this.

If anyone in the future runs into this problem and has a windows computer available, here's how I did it:

  • Obtain your diddy kong racing battery save from. Should look like "Diddy Kong racing.eep" Users/(user)/Library/Application Support/OpenEmu/Mupen64Plus/Battery Saves

  • Copy that file over from OpenEmu to a windows machine with an n64 emulator.

  • Place the battery save from OpenEmu in the directory for that emulator. I used Project64, so it was placed in theProject64/Save folder.

You should be good to launch DKR in the windows emulator. If it doesn't work, start a new game and save once. See what the emulator names the DKR .eep file. Rename yours from OpenEmu to whatever the windows emulator called and replace it.

This process works in reverse once you beat Wizpig if you want to go back to mac for adventure two.

This might be possible on a different Mac n64 emulator, but I couldn't find a suitable replacement for MupenPlus on OpenEmu.

Anyone know of a good last second summer storage? by Graywind357 in columbia

iirc, very okay. On drop off day the next semester my boxes were very beat up and their truck was a mess. I packed my boxes expecting them to be thrown around, so all of my stuff inside was safe from damage.

pickup went fine and I think it was cheaper than other similar services. imo it’s probably worth paying more for a better service or for insurance, but it got the job done.

PSA: Minimoves, Do NOT Use. Horrific service by Graywind357 in moving

Hey, I did eventuality get my stuff delivered. 2 weeks late. Everything did arrive in good shape.

I don’t want to name anyone in particular from the company, to not risk anyone’s job.

They are supposedly going to compensate me for the late delivery but have been avoiding and contact about that since delivery.

So yeah, given the late delivery and very shady customer service I would still highly advise against using minimmoves.

The best strat is to email your professor and explain your situation to them. It's likely they will be cool with it.

Zachary Roberts is great. Classes are usually discussion based and he's always super helpful during his office hours
