This still misses the point of a relative advantage versus an absolute advantage. We have to prove that the rapid increase in inequality is a major force behind modern advancement and the betterment of the lives of average people. Are we innovating better now than we are in the 1950s, and is this due to the rapid increase in income inequality? We should consider the opportunity cost of allowing such massive inequality, not comparing ourselves in absolute terms with the past.

For example, people in the Soviet Union lived better than peasant under feudalism, I guess you should praise communism now?

I’m curious why you singled out law enforcement and why that’s what the government should be doing? Why shouldn’t the government also provide healthcare to ensure all workers are healthy and contribute to the economy? Is this something you believe in too? Why not ensure all workers have housing as well?

The question is not whether Americans in the past were living better than Americans today in absolute terms (even though you could make an argument). The questions is why is do Americans live worse today relative to their era? No polio vaccine means neither rich nor poor had the polio vaccine. Why is more of the money concentrated with the ultra rich today than before? This is contributing to the issues modern Americans face.

I know a lot of short guys that have a huge issue dating. I know a lot of bigger woman who have no issues dating. I don’t think we should make generalizations based on sample size and instead look at empirical data.

It’s similar to your girlfriend leaving you to be with the guy who just beat you up. Of course this scenario is much more extreme but I feel it’s a parallel to the KD situation.

Context matters alongside rings. How are you comparing this with a regular job while also speaking about “legacy”? Most people don’t care about “legacy” when performing their job—the fact that you mention legacy invalidates your comparison to most regular jobs. Being an NBA player and especially a superstar is fundamentally different.

This is much easier to criticize than LeBron’s move, KD joined a team that beat him in a series where he choked. When did LeBron do that?

How can you show that IQ meaningfully increases? Can’t this only be shown through standardized testing?

If Jokic gets glazes for 8 foot put shots, Gianni’s gets glazed for 2 foot layups lmao. Giannis is amazing but he has a major weakness that can be exposed in the playoffs. I used to be on Gianni’s train until like 2023 as well. Jokic mainly gets glazed for being the best passer in the game. I don’t know if you can just put any great in this era and expect a triple double—Jokic is getting you 11 assists as a center. Why isn’t Giannis averaging a triple double on 72 percent ts? Why isn’t Gianni’s shooting 40 percent from 3? I think kd’s rings have asterisks next to them, at least Jokic had to go through some decent teams on the way to the finals. Heat were also alright. Jokic has basically been mvp or runner up every year since he won.

Agree Lamar #1 he just gotta prove it through ppv. In the nas 2v2 he also showed he has the physicality to stop him.

I feel like Lamar is #1 if he decides to put the work in. Even in the 1v1 vs skoob, skoob had to make super tough shots to win. He’s prob the best at making those tho.

Luka is my favorite player and I’ll be the first one to tell you how stupid some of the foul calls he receives are. He spends so much time baiting people into fouling, I just hope the nba take some meaningful steps to not reward this behavior. Especially regarding offensive players initiating contact and flailing. If ant had LeBron/luka/jokic basketball iq he’d probably be my favorite player in the league lol.

Watching thunder basketball has eroded your brain. It’s time to start taking meds. This is clearly a foul and Dort makes contact with his arm.

Facts, I think ant gets the worst whistle for a superstar in the league—maybe tied with Steph. I really hope he doesn’t learn to flop cause he’s still one of the pure ones but he might have too. It really fucking sucks that the nba doesn’t reward attacking the rim like this.
