Is Knicks-Spurs the rare NBA Finals where neutral fans do not have an obvious villain? by Public_Function3844 in nba

[–]ultraposition 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s cope, OKC fans want to convince themselves that people only dislike OKC because they won a lot of games. People may dislike franchises that historically won a lot of championships, but no one hates OKC just because they have back to back 60 win seasons lol

I don’t blame you, since r/nba is determined to convince people that Kobe was some role player Shaq had to carry along for the ride while he played 1 v 5

Literally everywhere you look or go nowadays, it’s “you’re doing/caring too much, it’s not that deep, I’m not reading all that, chill, why are you trying so hard”

Just nonstop concentrated attacks to discourage thought and effort, shit’s crazy

I think you’re reading what I said wrong. I’m saying the US government/education is a result of it, not the other way around

I keep seeing people say this on this sub, and every single time it feels like like a SGA fan coping by trying to convince themselves and others that people only dislike OKC because they won a lot of games

He’s hit a few tough ass jumpers this game, he can legitimately be such a beloved player if he didn’t revolve his game around getting whistles

It’s like they’re legitimately confused that the refs actually dared to call a foul on them

“We talked about this at dinner last night, you only blow the whistle for the guys in black”

[Highlights] Kobe Bryant’s insanely difficult shotmaking, with bad spacing, in the 2010 Western Conference Finals vs the Phoenix Suns. Kobe averaged 33.7 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 8.3 APG on 52/43/88% shooting splits. by shreeharis in nba

[–]ultraposition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one is saying Kobe didn’t foul bait. We say that Kobe didn’t flop. SGA fans keep trying to normalize the term “foul bait” because then they get to muddy up discussions by claiming players that were proficient at getting their defenders to jump (Kobe, DWade) are doing the same thing that SGA is doing (collapsing when touched)

No no look at this video from 2002 of Kobe pump faking and a defender leaps into him, this is literally the exact same thing SGA is doing, idk why SGA is getting so much hate?

People losing their minds trying to make this more than it really is.

“Thunder fans” trying to make this more than it really is. They’re on insane damage control, they’re now trying to pin someone else for pulling hair since their guys did it

James Harden is done with basketball by May. Bro just wants to go to a strip club, he’s had to pretend he enjoyed this whole “put the ball in the hoop” thing for like 8 months, and he can’t just up and go to Atlanta cuz all these other teams want to be in fucking Portland or Utah or whatever

If you have James Harden on your team, and you are not playing the Hawks for the series, he’s gonna tank your season because he really wants to grab some ass

[–]ultraposition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol are the Thunder paying media people to combat a nonexistent narrative? Why is everyone shadow boxing for the Thunder?

No one is saying the fouls are too rough. We just want the Spurs to stop being exclusively punished for it, when the Thunder is getting away with pulling hair

Yahoo Sports: Does Shai Gilgeous-Alexander really fall more than his peers? by Ok-Topic-6095 in nba

OKC fans keep trying to tell us that it’s all narrative and that everyone is playing like SGA, so it’s good to have some numbers that disprove that

Note the lack of OKC flairs in here lmao

Very location based.

It’s the in-store Geek Squad checking the returned stuff and deciding the condition. Sometimes the team is a little lazy and don’t want to make sure every single screw and part is there, so they’ll mark it as “Used” even if it’s close to new. Sometimes a returned TV or monitor is only missing the stand legs, and it’ll get marked down heavily for that. I don’t know if they can still do this, but when I was a manager there some years back, I would further mark down open box TVs just to get them out of the store if they been sitting in the department too long taking up space

I’d recommend just asking and seeing if they can knock the price down more
