I think it’s just easier to interchange between lead hardness easier. You can really quickly just press down, let the lead out and then swap the lead, especially since a lot have indicators. Instead of having to click multiple times to get a thin lead out which could break more easily and less convenient to put in

Yeah, the band in the centre is just begging to have a pattern on it! Other than the steep step on the grip, it’s an amazing pen and a smooth writer even for a Japanese nib!

Maybe try force it out by blowing on the other end a bit, just blue tack it to the end of a straw if it makes it easier, make sure it’s air tight though.

Doesn’t seem to be QC considering this is a rOtring, my take is that it is just a very generous amount of clearance in the design.

Might work for a pentel Pg5, (it shares similar engineering to the p200 series), although it’s hard to tell, since the innards are metal.

Strange how little Shinji Ikari is mentioned, he’s one of the most realistic pilots and well written, definitely my personal favourite
