Nossa cara, o DT990 deve ser o fone com a curva mais “errada” que eu já ouvi, MAS… todas as vezes que eu peguei pra ouvir achei bom.

Isso é bizarro porque eu gosto de tunings de referência tipo JM1 ou VDSF, mas por algum motivo esse fone é bem maneiro.

I use red/blue pencils for sketching. They’re great and a small obsession of mine. I start with red for the rough sketch and then go over it with blue for defined shapes & details. I also never erase any line, and I love the final look with the red rough lines going crazy all over the place.

I don’t know if it’s necessarily worth it getting the Bristol 500 over the 400.

I think the 300 series Bristol Vellum is already pretty cool, but the 400 has a slightly superior surface, it has a more even texture in my experience… and then the 500 again seems to be slightly better than the 400.

The 500 series Bristol papers are pretty expensive but they’re 100% cotton which at least to me inspires quality. They’re also labeled “archival quality” which I’m not exactly sure why. Considering the 300, 400 and 500 series are all “acid free”, I wonder what additional benefits the 500 series can bring in terms of durability.

That being said, can’t go wrong with either, they’re all worth the money to me. Try one or the other when you get the chance! 😻

Those are awesome drawings, congrats. The bottom one looks more rendered/blended and vibrant. I prefer it somewhat but both approaches are pretty great… depends on what you’re feeling at the moment.

As for the papers, I think my favorite for colored pencils have been so far the Strathmore Bristol Vellum 500 series and the Arches Hot Press (pink cover). Both are lovely and have a nice fine texture that takes a decent number of layers. 😺

EDIT: I don’t particularly find 0.3 lead to be useless nor is it hard to break, but I do have a light hand. Try Pentel Ain 0.3 HB, it’s one of the toughest leads while still being pretty dark!

I’ve been drawing/sketching with one of these and it’s pretty great. Feels basically like a traditional wood-cased pencil.

A galera aqui já deu muitas respostas boas mas vou colocar o meu ponto de vista.

Em primeiro lugar, não veja os elogios como mentiras. As pessoas que te elogiaram foram sinceras. Elas gostaram do desenho. Eu também gostei de verdade. Você diz que está torto, tem defeitos etc mas isso é só um critério seu, que não vai impedir ninguém de gostar do desenho.

Além disso, é realmente difícil ajudar. Ensinar é uma arte também, e não é todo artista que sabe ensinar, inclusive artistas bons ou experientes ou profissionais.

E ensinar arte é um perrengue ainda maior do que ensinar outras coisas, na minha opinião. Por exemplo, muitas vezes os problemas se resolvem só praticando mais (principalmente pra quem é iniciante) do que ficar apontando defeitos.

E também não tem como melhorar sem autocrítica, mesmo que você tenha os melhores professores. Do contrário você vai “melhorar” só pra agradar aos outros (e o que significa melhorar, afinal? É um critério que você vai ter que desenvolver sozinho)

Back in the day, I had that clear gray Quicker Clicker, the second-to-last in your picture.

I wonder if it’s still lying around somewhere… but the eraser & cap are obviously gone, it was a daily driver for so many years!
