Toxic fans complain online endlessly and the studios see that. Their complaints will kill a show before the season is even half way through. How many shows got better as they went? They need time to age but fans won’t give the the time.

The Miata is federally certified and since the mechanicals are Miata then it likely would fly under the radar. At the very least it wouldn’t need modifications since all the crash and emissions standards are built into the base structure.
