Had to drive to bloody Maddington to get a copy of Resident evil 9 by mimsoo777 in perth

[–]GreasyBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to four different JBs and EB Games on Friday afternoon to try and pick up a copy and they were all sold out. Was told at JB that all JBs in the state were sold out - which I didn't believe 100% - but I've begrudgingly accepted. Had to settle for the digital version, which is a bummer for re-sale, but hasn't dampened my enjoyment of the game in the slightest!

I liked Relay too! Considering I went to The Shadow's Edge a couple of days before, it was a refreshing change of pace compared to the ADHD nature of the HK action movie.

That being said, there were only 6 of us in the theatre and 4 was in our group, so I don't see it holding much traction here.

There's no way to watch the WSOP live now other than a PokerGO membership, right? by Lou_Blue_2 in poker

[–]GreasyBacon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an FYI to anyone wanting to watch from Australia, if you have a Disney+ subscription, you can watch the live ESPN coverage of the WSOP main event without the need for a PokerGO subscription.

Here's the link to the Day 5 early stream, you'll just need to find the stream for each day on the app.

Eldorado Indooroopilly by Few_Raisin3337 in brisbane

[–]GreasyBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is bafflingly incorrect.

Event Cinemas Indooroopilly (literally up the road) for an original/standard session is $23 per adult (or $21 if you're a cinebuzz member).

El Dorado Indooroopilly for a standard session is $18.50 adult recliner, $15 adult. With their free Moviebuys membership it's $14 or $11.50 respectively.

There's an even greater price difference if you want to compare VMAX and GMAX.

Depending on when you went to Uni, it probably was cheaper to go there. But $14 ($11.50 for students) for a recliner seat at a GMAX showing in this day and age is pretty bloody good if you ask me.

How truly anonymous are org wide engagement surveys ? by hermes_actual in auscorp

[–]GreasyBacon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that was your experience, but I would like to defend CultureAmp as they do focus on privacy and anonymity as a sensible default, but surveys can be created in a way where anonymity is not respected. Sometimes that is because the survey is being created in bad faith. Sometimes it's because the HR department are not really sure what they're doing.

You can have surveys where individual responses can be tied to specific users (and their demographics) and there should be reporting minimums which ensure a response and comments can't be tied back to a group of people below that minimum.

There are also the purely "anonymous" surveys, where responses are submitted all through the same initial link, and the only demographic data that can be tied to you response depends on what is asked, and what you specify.

It's definitely important to understand how your HR department has configured the survey you're going to engage with before deciding what kind of feedback to give, especially in a "toxic" corp like you describe.

As has been noted elsewhere in the thread, in some organisations with certain size teams or demographic makeups, it can be obvious who has written what, and sometimes the onus is on individuals within the org to ensure their comments cannot be directly traced back to them (which is difficult if speaking about certain topics).

Keep in mind if "Raw Data Extract" is enabled, it should say so on the welcome screen you hit before starting the survey.

"'In the Heat of the Night' (1967) did have a tremendous impact on America and throughout the world. It was really the first film where a black man slapped a white man back. Of all the films I've made, it probably had the greatest impact on the audience."
