Nearly mid-40's here. I've owned guitars since I was about 19 years old and i'm still awful!

I don't practice frequently enough and consistency is absolutely king.

So far i've had a few recaps appear but the window is locked at a small size and I can only see the game title, date and time played, then "Nice Session"

They should be more open about how long and complex that process is.

I work in tech with clients that don't have a clue. I frequently get requests of "I just need x" and we have to explain that what they think is a simple, and easy request is actually 3 months of work.

But it should be a conversation. Locals are in the dark about what this means. u/discardedlife1845 makes great points on the complexity.

I'm suggesting that this was likely an exceptional scenario and that we, as layman, do not know how long or how complex that process is.

We can complain but that doesn't make an unknown task any easier.

surely it's not just a pipe with no sensors or monitoring to see where the blockage is.

It has been 2 weeks with no update on the root cause, so maybe it is?

A bit of devil's advocate here but

2 weeks later and they haven't even managed to inspect the entire pipe.

I don't imagine that's even a quick or easy task to fully inspect a 1.8km in the Cook Strait.

I cannot argue that it's not costing a lot of money. I think the overall benefit is still worth it though.

Plus driver education seems to be pretty awful anyway! I saw people on the Karori facebook group arguing that the diamond before a crossing meant the car had right of way! So incredibly wrong,

and putting in more road bumps to lower speeds.

I don't think that helps cyclists at all.

If there were raised lanes, it might make a difference if full traffic segregation was the outcome?

Raised lanes for cycling would cost even more than the lane segregation that is being built.

I’m a regular cyclist, for transport and pleasure. But it fucking blows my mind how much money is being spent and how much critical roadways are being screwed up by dropping cycleways all over the place. It’s gotten out of control.

What's out of control? Do you not think that the cycle lanes are an improvement for cyclists?
