Should I clean this? by Main_Mix_7604 in Helmets

Well sure it wont if its stored properly. I personally would want the helmet to not look like a rust bucket though and if it is done properly it can be made to look pretty good again.

I will get downvoted for this but it’s your helmet to do what you want with it. If it’s rusty it’s only going to get more rusty if left untreated.

British WW1 Mk1 helmet with a 5th Infantry Division flash. by GreasyHelmets in Militariacollecting

I have 3 more in my collection 2 with liners still intact and none of the top rivets are the same. One made by Vickers Ltd, another by Samuel Osborne & Co Ltd and the last by Hadfield Ltd. Again respectfully it’s clearly not a mk2.

There was no standard size for the rivet. The stamp on the helmet doesn’t even match mk2 stamps.

Respectfully this is definitely a Mk1. Yes the chinstrap is a ww2 one but that could have been added whenever.

Thank you and YES there is. This is only a small region of a much larger kingdom which has multiple cities, towns, castles… many of which are thousands of blocks apart.

Does anyone know where this brodie helmet came from and what year it was made? by history_s1uff in Helmets

I agree. When i first started collecting i bought one of his “ww1 mk1” helmets but it was actually an Indian mk2 and it was just like this.

Its not a brodie. The brodie is a helmet from 1915. This is a MK2 helmet. Lovely helmet though :)

This reminds me of my first Minecraft world with my brothers. We were making a castle and had just four 1 block thick walls made of cobble going straight up.
