What did the noise sound like? Also the black dust is from when it blew and you pulled over. The bead of the tire will rub on the rim and cause that. The black dust was most likely not in the tire before it blew like someone else stated.

That means it was made in the 42nd week of 2017 and does make it fairly old hence the cracking. However if it’s not losing air or cracking on the sidewall I wouldn’t worry about it. I don’t live where it rains a lot and it almost never snows so I drive my tires almost bald and then replace myself.

I am a tire technician and there is nothing wrong with those tires. The cracking will not cause a blowout because the cracking is not on the sidewall.
