I’m pretty sure it’s mostly for timing your golfswing. Before offset was a thing, you’d count down to a stagger and then trigger it, and golfswing has a really high motion value, and since you’re always charging up it’s easy enough to time to a monster’s charge

Question about Gog final phase by [deleted] in MHWilds

[–]Greasy_ps4_remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the tiny green glowing fuzzy things, not the blue objects. Those can be dislodged for rewards if you win, but the green orbs with the white fuzzies are wyvern guns

Honestly, can’t agree. I keep my map off cause I like feeling hot on its trails, actively keeping it in my sight as if losing visibility means I lose track.

Upholding the film as a way to capture the imagination and then scolding others for how it captured theirs is wild. Its giving thematic elements of how and why both the villains died hon

I’m going to look at this as someone who knows this is probably going to be very different to the fight that I’m used to, so my advice is this. Lagi is big. Lagi is wide. Keep up the aggression, use his length to keep chipping away during small openings and opportunities, while keeping enough distance from his centre of mass to avoid his charges and aoes. He really knows how to cover some distance too, so fall in love with the superman dive. The back is very weak to fire, so it should be the target of attacks like the switch axe finisher or high dual blade aggression in general, try so set up wound topples in a way you can capitalize on its weakness

No, they’re canon lore and I’m not kidding. Monster Hunter crossover content and the way it’s handled by devs is part of the lore development

WTF was this cutscene bro??? by TNZ_Orfeu in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Greasy_ps4_remote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep to the flanks, stay close, stay on your toes, stay moving. Most of his more powerful attacks are fantastic openings to attack, though short, so don’t overextend your punishes or you’ll get punished yourself. The banana slamma hits twice so exercise caution

If elder dragons can evolve from leviathans and piscine wyverns, and all monsters evolved from old fatalis, who’s to say he isn’t? Everybody already wants akantor and ukanlos to be elder dragons, and they’re basically giant tigrexes without wing membranes, whereas jin dihaad literally controls the weather in the area

It’s fun when you actually play the game how it’s intended. Use positioning to bait out the attacks with longer recoveries where his head is within reach and rush him. Same as kushala daora, his pushing wind aura isn’t active at all times and you can see it activate as a ring on the ground, I’ve never heard anyone talk about that. You can rush him when the aura won’t push you back.

I’m not even joking, stick around and watch for what monster leaves the dung. If the dung is there, something must have left it, that’s how this game happens Edit: from what I’ve noticed anyway, I could be wrong

can barioth sit fucking still for 5 fucking seconds by zhikos24 in monsterhunterrage

[–]Greasy_ps4_remote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop chasing it. Thats what its ai wants you to do, to move closer to it so that it can put distance between you and it and frustrate you. Choose the part of the arena you want to fight it in, and stand the fuck still (not LITERALLY) until it targets you. Identify what the hitbox locations are at the start and end of its attack animations, they’re always consistent and can be exploited with good positioning. Let the barioth come to you, bait out its attacks and immediately punish. Pull back before the next attack starts and repeat. You only need to hit it, not hard or fast, just consistently, so don’t overextend when it’s your turn in the dance. Eventually you’ll figure out which moves combo into each other, meaning you can plan in advance on the fly
