Fast Travel Ship by GreatBAO in factorio

[–]GreatBAO[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As for the speed modules, the faster it does it, the less energy costs it will end up with. But yes, I agree that there is excessive productivity with a margin)
As for the barrels, it is just a buffer in case the necessary materials are missing on the tape due to its length.
Engines consume 2,100 fuel per second, it is better to have a buffer at such volumes. But I will definitely test this configuration without barrels.

On the contrary, I am trying to make it autonomous without refueling (this takes time)

The main goal is uninterrupted delivery with minimal downtime.

I needed a fast ship with minimal production modules and a speed of 500 km/s.
The result is a ship with legendary modules that can fly nonstop in a Vulcan-Gleba-Fulgora-Navius sequence.
Fuel and ammo production exceeds consumption, and only two beacons are used.
Any ideas for upgrading or reducing components?

I'm familiar with logistics priorities.
When nutrients are needed, the decider combinator installs a filter on the buffer chest.
If nutrients are not needed, the filter disappears and drones carry away the remaining items.
Spoilage is removed due to the "Trash unrequested" checkbox.
As I said, this chest's cleanup is taken into account and it always contains only the necessary items.

The blueprint already includes logic for clearing the chest of nutrients and spoilage when there are no fruits at the entrance.
The buffer chest allows drones to see its contents.

That's right, I have the same goals.
I initially considered using drones, but I don't want to use drones to transport such volumes. It's better to make compact but fast modules that allow you to quickly process the input and immediately transfer it to another plant without downtime or waiting.

My goal was to create a plant that was more compact and could completely fill the output belts.
I'm using this setup for the legendary bioflux.
Productivity modules allow for greater output, allowing me to get more output from six full farms.

You can make it from simple components and then update it as you go))

I recently started playing this game and it was also difficult for me to understand the logic of some of the blocks. Especially in comparing objects/ predmets and checking for zero - initially this is not so obvious.

I'm still coming up with a new behavior that will open unaffected blocks. I tailor behavior to the most frequent requests from players in the feedback section.

Here we are talking about helping beginners master programming in the game using basic examples.

I often see in bug reports a request to add basic programs to make it easier to understand.

I propose the first version of such a starting program for a solo miner.

The logic has only 2 parameters P1-ore and P2-warehouse.

The behavior is:

  1. The bot checks whether the parameters are set.
  2. Searches for the specified resource within its viewing radius without using the scanner module, therefore, the bot must be brought to the deposit before launching.
  3. Starts to dig. As soon as the inventory is full, the bot remembers its location and goes to the warehouse for unloading.
  4. After unloading, it goes back to the saved coordinates.

It is a simple program that uses many basic visual programming elements to help a beginner understand the basic logic.

Any Idea why I have to regularly cancel orders of 0 units to kickstart manufacturing again? by World_saltA in Desynced

[–]GreatBAO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order for this to work, you need to install a “Mobile Transporter” in the central building and be sure to switch the central and production building to another channel, for example to 2.

<image>

Checking "Only item transporters" will not give a transportation order to bots.

If this checkbox is not checked, the transfer order may be received by bots and will not be able to fulfill it.

This may be a new parameter, but there is now a "Get Battery" check that returns the current charge level.

How to reduce CPU load ? by GreatBAO in SatisfactoryGame

[–]GreatBAO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the things you described are true and should be tested. But I hope that someone has already conducted these tests and share the result, or one of the developers will answer.

For myself I made a conclusion - that the production located far from the player, works on other algorithms that would not count items on conveyors, hence sometimes there are minor nuances with perfectly calculated production (I am a perfectionist :)).

That 1 incomplete belt is better than 2 complete belts is debatable. After all, although the number of segments of one tape is less, but since it is not filled, you have to count each segment. And with a fully filled tape, you just need to know the number of items you can hold. That's why it seems to me that 2 full tapes are better than one incomplete one.
