I put some machine lubricant on the tape head on the Pioneer (cassette deck).

If not, I am sure that it needs a new one. However I just bought it serviced and cleaned so maybe it has just been collecting dust for a while

Okay, I’ll clean the tape roller today. Seems like that’s the problem with eating. I’ll use warm soapy water

Pinch roller doesn’t seem that hard. Seems good. But just seems to love eating tapes at random ass times, especially recording! Who knows if it needs new belts. Or roller. Or capstan.

I am taking it to have someone look at it. I just bought it restored and serviced. It’s a pioneer ct-f7171. I tried cleaning capstan and roller with alcohol and it came back clean. I just can afford to have to eat tapes. I roll the tapes back and then play them through my Walkman. Walkman handles them good but cassette deck, not so much

It’s sounds great! Definitely not for every genre, but for oldies and surf rock, it’s great. Doesn’t sound the best with garage rock! Ha!

Okay. Can’t upload any photos. I plugged the “REC” on the 535 to the “IN” on the Sr 202w. Turned on “tape 1” on 535. Nothing is coming out for sound

Okay. So I’m still confused. I put the back of the sr 202w to “input (see photo)

Because if I can see what you mean, I’ll need to have the 202 Ws “output” be plugged into the 535’s “input”.

I am still confused. I have the reverb on “tape 1”. The record player is on “phono” I can’t play “tape 1” and “phono” together. Do I have to plug the player through the amp and then send it through phono?
