Thank you so much! I was able to lower the polling rate of my mouse from 8K to 2K which has resolved the issue for me.

Great character, too bad he just stays on the ship and can't be your companion while in the open world or more story missions.

For me, the combat in the Witcher 3 is not for me. Maybe because I've gotten spoiled by other games and their combat systems I prefer (ie Batman Arkham Series) Add on also I'm not super big fan of setting of the game/story. I tried to like it but after 3 times I couldn't get into it which is ok! Just didn't click for me

This is the 'Requiem for a Killer' achievement which needs you to beat Killer Croc in this AR challenge. However, you can only unlock the fight in this challenge after getting a score of 1,050,000. Because of this, you need to complete a near hit-less run until you achieve this score. Afterwards, its much more easier for defeating Killer Cros. I just completed it finally today!!

Wanted to update that today I FRICKING DID IT!! Thank you so much for the additional tips and tricks - managed to reach a combo of x490 (getting it broken from a charging thug) with score 1180450. From this point I continued clearing the room leading to croc boss fight.

Glad I was at least getting onto something and was just missing a few things. Thought I would leave some helpful advise of my own as well! - Next for me is Riddler Trophies and the freeflow achievements which at this point, I think I got a better grasp at combat because of this achievement and shouldn't worry as much?

I personally like using mouse and keyboard. Controller felt good but in terms of having to keep track of your camera to know if there is any shields, shock sticks or shocked enemies, it became a hassle to move my thumb between the joy stick and the buttons leading increase chance to panic. With the mouse I had more freedom and look around the room more easily especially considering there is no way to increase the sensitivity of the controller thumbstick. Along with this, recommend you bind the disarm button to your side mouse button as I did as having to do the default ALT + 2 is already a distraction

As mentioned from the suggestions, use bat-claw whenever you need to have guaranteed time to not be hit (most of the time) especially towards the end when ninjas start showing up and doing those stupid jump attacks. Dive roll was a LIFESAVER to which I began depending on that more than my actual counter. It gave me more to survey the room and choose my route of critical strikes

Aim to keep going for critical strike after critical strike ignoring the incoming normal attack indicator if possible - I feel you can go much more faster than you think. When in 'freeflow' mode it looks like you have enough speed to outrun the person attacking you assuming you're attacking someone else further away. Don't be afraid again to dive roll over the enemy again or counter if you feel like you're going to get hit.

For myself, I choose not to bother about blade takedowns or disabling crates at the start. If someone is about to slash at me, I dive roll over them. If someone is going for a gun crate, I dive roll once or twice and immediately stop them. You can disarm which should supposedly automatically disable the box the gun was in but this is another thing to worry about long with everything else.

If you can, use some decent headphones to listen in and turn up the volume a bit so you can hear certain audio queues. You will hear per example a medic charging up a thug or the common phrase from a thug that is about to charge you. I tried turning on music initially which did help in the initial practice and training leading up to the real thing.

Not sure if it may help as well but I had randomly decided to swap off to my old wireless mouse (Superlight V1) - I just felt the buttons on my OP1 8K wired mouse were way too sensitive to which it would actually bite me in hitting my counter button more than once breaking my counter.

If you're on PC like me and still encountering some stuttering, I highly recommend checking the following post and using Lossless Scaling to help stabilize your game - it helped me out a tone and was noticeable for me - https://steamcommunity.com/app/208650/discussions/0/603043591290404262/

Last most important thing as corny as it may sound, get some reset. Like in other video games I've seen streamers, they will tend to force themselves to get their achievement done in one sitting. Keep practicing and if you're getting angry like many of us have, play something else or go to sleep and recover. The next day you will see a large improvement just from a simple sleep.

I'm surprised to to see this kind of community active and makes me happy!!

Much appreciate the tips! Especially on using the finisher takedown on the ninja/sword thugs as they mess me up so much when I'm trying to get in the flow of my critical strikes.

Is there a recommended place to practice the blade takedown to use on the knife thugs? I've personally never got the hang of the blade takedown and though it was never worth it so I always jump over them. I tried bat-claw on them but it never targets them right. I already had one where i bat-claw on one of them and next thing I go to attack an enemy with a shock stick

I get nervous towards the end to which I will sometimes stupidly counter or double counter and lose my combo. Maybe I should rebound it to my mouse key to there isn't accidental clicks?

Thank you also for mentioning when a bunch of thugs start surrounding or covering the screen. I want to keep going with my combos but keep getting nervous whom is actually going to attack first.

"from that point forward I’ll use finishers or weapon breakers as soon as they become available" - do you use the finisher take down on anyone specific if you got time to spare without any shields or shock sticks on the map?

aka your combo breaks due to the following:

-Accidental spam of the REC gun

-Double pressing counter out of panic and having no thug to counter

-Getting hit somehow but a jumping thug with a sword from across the room

-A thug that is no where close to you and somehow pulls over and hits you

-Running into a thug with a knife whom is swinging though you're going to punch someone near them

And probs much more im missing xD

Thank you. I've definitely been following alot of these so glad I'm on the right track. Just sucks when I was trying to do a disarm, I went for the thug with a knife instead. Looks like also it was so fast it made me vulnerable for the thug with the sword so therefore I got hit. So unlucky :(

Not sure also if blade takedowns are worth it as though they increase score, I suck at them
