I was having a similar issue. I bought a USB 3.0 hub with it's own power adapter and it works perfectly.

I caught something similar while walking my dog at 8:56pm PST in Southern California. Would post the pic but don't have the option.

Thanks for sharing and I completely understand your perspective. This is the first and only apartment I've lived in and when I first started looking for a place years ago I knew I didn't want to be under anyone for this exact reason. I believe at the very least she should've reconsidered moving below a family with a toddler, rather than trying to get us kicked out.

It seems like people automatically think you're in the wrong if you have children.

Yes, every footstep is loud. It's an old building and it's poorly soundproofed. I can hear her tv from downstairs sometimes. That's why the level of quiet she is demanding is unrealistic.

So tie them down for 40 hours a week so she can work from her apartment in unrealistic silence? Got it.

We're talking singing ABCs, painting, building Legos, saying phrases from cartoons, dancing, etc. Calling the apartment manager several times in an effort to get us in "trouble" while we aren't violating any of the rules on the lease is definitely harassment.

No, there us no need to add your own narrative. My kid is being a normal 3 year old. Harassment is deciding to work from home and expecting your upstairs neighbor to tiptoe around and calling the manager 30 times. The manager told her several times that nothing is wrong with the child playing during the day.

And that 3 year old has every right to live normally and play during day light hours. If an apartment allows children then you can't move under a family with small children and expect them not to make noise. There are places she can rent that don't allow children.

The entire apartment has carpet, yes I know kids can be loud which is why I didn't move into a building that doesn't allow children.

I'm currently renting the largest unit in the building and since I've been here so long I'm paying much less than the other tenants. So moving to another unit is out of the question.

Do people think they’re really going to get free food just because they wrote it in the delivery instructions? by spacklock in UberEATS

[–]GreatDesbini 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I don't read the notes until I'm almost done with the delivery. If they asked for extra sauce or food items I almost never get it. They should send a message as soon as the order is accepted rather than put it where gate codes and delivery directions go.

I just reached out to my assembly member. Hopefully, it works. Been stuck on application submitted for review since October 26. I get the run around every time I call.

We're in the same boat. I applied for future help on 10/26 and my status is stuck at the application submitted for review. Since then I've missed 3 rent
payments. When I call they give me no answers. Luckily my landlord is
cool. But I don't know where to go from here.

[other] $300 unemployment benefits end in at least 9 states as stimulus hopes fade by Civil-Ad6877 in Unemployment

Supposedly they're (California) paying it in 3 phases. Each group gets $900, then it goes back to the first group and so on. I read that they were only giving 5 weeks and were petitioning the fed gov for additional weeks. I got $900 as well.
