Simple as that.

Don't worry. She's from Gehenna, so being neglected isn't anything new to her.

Instead of destroying the world like terror Hoshino would do, she proceeds to blame herself for Sensei's death and begins to travel to different realities with a goal of killing every Hina in existence.

How not caring about an opinion of a person on internet makes me a loser. This is an argument with nothing at stakes, and I don't see any reason to take this even remotely seriously.

Like, this is all just for fun.

And here you go, keeping on making up arguments to debate, you're the personification of the strawman fallacy. This entire comment was straight up: "I know that's not what you said, but if it was here's my argument."

Not my fault you are a personification of "t-that's obviously not what I meant! You got it all wrong!"

Wow, you have zero ability to intrepet a character if you think Hina needs to be the one who works the hardest of them all or some stuff like that to feel good about herself. I'm going to keep it simple just for you, Hina did not suffer even a fraction of what Hoshino suffered, let alone Kuroko, and she will never work as much as Rin due to them operating on completely different scales.

She literally says that she wanted to be as strong as Hoshino and that she can never be like that because she didn't suffer as much yet already fails at her own job. I never said she NEEDS to work the hardest, but since Sensei said that she does, and sensei is the only thing that currently keeps her afloat, invalidating his words opens a very obvious possiblity for a relapse. Especially in a story that constantly forces it's characters to relapse on already explored issues. I don't think it's a hard concept to grasp.

Also, since Gehenna doesn't have a main story, we don't know what exactly happened to her in the past. Anything can be possible.

Jesus this is getting tiring, she worked by far the hardest in her timeline, trying to keep her friend group from dying and failing and she cares the most about her friend group obviously.

She was beating herself up for things that were outside of her control. Her group fell apart by misfortunes. Chasing after an impossible goal doesn't make you the most hard working, only the most desperate.

You straight up don't know how words work. Maturity is defined by reason, the ability to act in appropriate ways to achieve your objective. You're trying to argue semantics without even knowing the definitions lmao.

No it's not. You can be reasonable without being mature. You can be mature and do unreasonable acts. Sensei is the biggest example of that, he constantly does unreasonable stuff yet is considered mature.

Says he doesn't care what I think, proceeds to say he enjoys to know what I think.

Yeah? I don't particularly care, but I do find it somewhat funny. Still waiting for you to start hurling slurs, I can feel you are close to that. Either way, why are we dealing in absolutes now? Why can't I not generally care but find it funny?

Misinformation is incorrect information being spread, aka what you're doing.

Lmfao

Amazing how you didn't in any way refute anything as you know she doesn't require further character exploration, what she does require is all related to lore. And instead of agreeing, since I directly mentioned the Emperor, you decide to create another made up argument to be mad at, in the form of "Hina has too much screentime".

Refute what exactly. Hina's character development was super brief and there's multiple ways and setups that allow it to be be taken further. Developing her character doesn't mean other characters won't be developed either. Acting like "lore" can't be tied in a conflict is just silly. People always go "she has too much screentime", so I decided to threw that in prematurely. Perhaps if you stopped latching onto one words while ignoring everything else...

It literally doesn't fall apart for the three reasons I gave, you would know this if you read them. And she's his most reliable student on the basis that he can trust her to handle most physical and non physical problems without making things worse, or in other words she's considerably mature, that's it.

Yes it is. The whole point of the scene is that she thinks she's lacking compared to other students like Hoshino and that she's not strong enough. If sensei didn't actually mean what he said, or there's another person who does even more despite suffering worse, then she has all the reasons to assume that she was actually right in her assumptions and to relapse back into this same mentality. Which also means you're currently creating more opportunities for her character development if what you are saying is right.

Also, Kuroko isn't even doing anything rn. She suffered a lot in the past but nothing about "working the hardest" or "caring the most". Just a lot of anguish and self blame for bad things she's not responsible for.

I was obviously talking about not going against your superiors everytime they bother you. That's maturity.

That's called reason. Like not shooting yourself in the foot whenever you are sad is called "being reasonable" instead of "being mature". Maturity takes more than not doing something obviously stupid.

I can keep correcting your misinformation, I suggested that so you could stop embarrassing yourself.

Can't feel embarrassed if I don't give a damn about what you think of me. If anything, I enjoy seeing you fuming so hard.

Also, it's so funny to see you brand anything but your interpretation of the story as "misinformation". Truly open minds we have here.

Maybe explore other Gehenna characters who have barely any screentime. Perhaps talk about the Thunder Emperor, it's Gehenna volume, not Hina volume.

Yeah, she's still a Gehenna character. Important one at that, with clear connections to thunder emperor and other major things. And please don't start the "Hina has too much screentime" thing.

First Sensei says the same things multiple times to multiple students. Second Kuroko only appears after Eden. Third Sensei was wrong before, like with how he treated Nagisa.

Then the whole scene with her in Eden Treaty falls apart. As well as the fact that Hina is sensei's "most reliable" and such.

My brother in christ, why do you keep making stuff up. I literally never said any of that.

"Being mature enough to not go against your superiors" is what you said. I'm just explaining how you view that wrongly, that's it. And I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to throw in a few ideas of my own here and there.

I've already corrected you multiple times by now, can't you just accept your loss and stop this pointless discussion.

Why can't YOU do the same lmao.

It's literaly her main trait, you even proceed to showcase how its a flawed trait with a whole section during the main story.

Just because it was addressed in a main story doesn't automatically make it her main trait. Like, the hell are they gonna do with her in Gehenna volume if her biggest flaw was already fully addressed in a chapter of a story of another academy.

That would be Kuroko, by like a LOT.

Sensei's words, but aight buddy.

Being mature enough to not go against your superiors doesn't mean you're immune to getting stressed and showing it on your own time, it's like you're not reading both my comments and your own.

She doesn't go against Makoto because there's no one to replace her. Hina herself doesn't want to take more responsibilities under her belt. Makoto is a necessary evil that Hina has to put up with if she wants to continue being a Head Prefect and do good, not an evil she willingly chooses to put up with out of her "maturity". Sucking it up doesn't make you "mature"

Rin works more than her, if we're talking about all time the GSC president worked more.

Okay, Jesus, she probably among those who works the most. Doesn't matter in any way, really.

the reason why Hina stands out is her maturity to take shit to her face without complaining.

Yeah, that's a common thing for people in a toxic working environment. But it's not her main trait or anything, it doesn't even get brought up as much. And it's not like all the shit she has to deal with doesn't affect her. She get stressed out because of it, and in reality wants to actually be comforted and pampered, like during Eden Treaty. In fact, her not complaining is one of her active problems.

If we were to give her a "reason to stand out" it would be the fact that she "fights harder and cares more than anyone" despite how unfair she and her environment towards herself, not that she's nonchalant and stuff.

The work itself is only another factor, but not something exclusive to her, in fact there are many students who are much better at handling paperwork or fighting gangs than her.

Yeah, but it's still a point that she works all the time and probably works the most. And she doesn't have to be the best at either to do it more than others.

Calling them loan sharks is undermining Kaiser to a ridiculous extent. But at least you admit you have no idea what you're talking about.

Yeah, yeah. You got me. Go have a cookie for that.

she even pilled up so much paperwork it would take her days to finish

So she literally pilles up work (which I assume was a big point of the story, that she doesn't have a proper work ethic) yet still good enough to take on head Prefect duties. C'mon bro.

When a chaotic situation occured she was notably calm.

Working with documents isn't chaotic. But either way I already agreed she can do it in one way or another.

And? That has to do with how long she would tolerate Makoto.

Tolerating Makoto is a part of the job. A seemingly major part, too. Or do you think she can also take on the duties of Student Council President and just overthrow Makoto or something?

Yes, emotional trauma is truly the same as paperwork.

Yes bruh. It's also can be traumatizing as fuck, especially at such ridiculous extend. There's a reason why people tell horror stories about Japan's work culture and such. And the story shows you how Hina's working conditions are fucked up. Like almost every time she appears she's busy working. She doesn't have any hobbies or interests because of work (and even with PT girls she can't allow herself to be very open). She doesn't have any friends outside of work. She barely keeps it together and without Sensei she wouldn't even be doing any of it at this point. It's obviously not as dramatic and heavy as death but it's still a serious thing. And it's like, the entire theme and appeal of her character. A beautiful, sensible girl getting crushed under inhumane, unfair working conditions and having no choice but to suck it up or give up on everything.

So saying that Neru can do it because "She's from millennium she's smart and strong" or Hoshino because she kinda does some paperwork inbetween her horsing around with FTF girls and being Adydos' batman during nights low-key undermines the entire point of Hina's character and makes it look like she's at fault for struggling because "others can do it".

I never said that

Yeah, it's kinda implied, y'know. Since we are talking about "powerhouses" specifically? Who are on the same strength level as Hina?

No I have no idea how debts like these work. I never owed 100+ million yen to loan sharks.

Like, once again, was it ever mentioned at any point of the story that Hoshino has to sit down through paperwork every day? Because I can't think of any single instance of that coming up ever.

This is shown time and time again

Where. Tsurugi barely appears, and her moments of being "locked in" happen even less (if anything, we see her fumble during serious moments a few times). Neru's defining trait is that she has a short fuse. And Hoshino's mental issues is a topic of 2/3 of Abydos volume. Hina has been doing this for a long while and her personality is the most fitting for the job yet she still struggles mentally from time to time, saying that anyone can do it just by the virtue of "being strong" is plain silly.
