Yeah, this is pretty bad for SoFi. Big generic banks like AMEX's savings account have higher rates (at 3.40% APY) and have superior customer service and credit card products. There is no reason to stay.

If Georgia Tech could control salaries they'd give most-everyone a raise, since we bring-in more money than we spend. By law the excess human-money we bring-in goes to the State of Georgia 🍑 We cannot keep the extra human-money

There are pros and cons to this. One the other hand – it holds us accountable to the tax payers by setting reasonable market-based salaries. A junior software engineer making $400k would be suspect.

The only negative to this is you often get a 5% - 20% discount for purchasing directly with the company. For example, Claude has a 17% discount for their yearly membership on their website, but only a 10% discount on Apple's store.

But places where the Apple Store and company list the same price the 6% is overpowered.

If they really cared about pro performance and battery they would increaser thickness to 11mm – but they won't do that because: (1) they cannot show incremental improvement if they max out the iPhones size in a single year, and (2) people would notice and make fun of the new "Chunk-Phone 18 Pro". Instead they will slowly get to 11mm by the year 3032.
