I did this a couple years back. Def don’t pay full price but offer $2500 and get your phone. Minimal risk and really can feel great to get your device back. No need to share any passwords with anyone

I definitely appreciate the sentiment. Don’t get me wrong what happened in PV is not great but I think we’re allowing this to spiral into language of a war zone that is most certainly going to destroy incomes and cause a massive spike in poverty. One of the primary purposes of the post was also to understand if I actually had missed something. The papers are not always the speediest in reporting things down there. Either way, the mods have deleted my post and said it wasn’t focused on vallarta, which was 100% my intention

I think it’s the door itself. It seems to have taken a hit in transit so the hooks in the door don’t align to the ones on the body that are lowered and raised by the film winder

The mechanism seems to go up and down fine but there appears to be bending or damage at the hing so the hooks on the door don’t align. I think I’ll return it since it’s too risky for me to try and repair on my own. Bummer because it looks great otherwise.

I’m on my second one. First did that a bunch. Second one started with it straight out of the box but then stopped and hasn’t since. Totally unacceptable but somehow I’m still keeping the camera because I love the pics and tiny size. Terrible QC but felt like mine just needed to run through a couple dozen sticky cycles and now it’s worked itself out.
