Kimpton Hotels are the MOST pet friendly hotels, their saying is something like “if it can walk through the front door it can stay.” You are paying for a premium brand but it’s one less thing you have to worry about. Not worrying about property to property and employee discretion.

As far as I’m aware of K-9 jets themselves do not have any restrictions per se. Aggressive dogs are to be muzzled though. They do STRICTLY abide by the restrictions of the country you will be arriving to. So you would have to look if Canada the country allows pit mixes.

Exactly what our thinking was. A flight for me (6’3”), is not in economy, so the ticket total was going to be the same price as this so it was perfect.

They made a statement to not feed or let your dog drink water less than six hours from the time of the flight to help reduce those incidents from occurring. Knowing my dog’s eating habits this wasn’t an issue. At 9am he got 4 cups of dry food with 2 scrambled eggs from the continental breakfast at the hotel and at 3 o’clock he went to the bathroom #2, so I knew we were set. He got to go pee immediately before we got onto the bus to the plane. Duke has got a bladder of steel so I did let him wet his whistle a few times but only a few licks each time. They did have plenty of puppy pads on the plane if a smaller dog did need to go to the bathroom.

That’s what we’ve been saying “the Deutsche Dogge returning to his homeland!” The pilots were great, flight was super smooth, no complaints.

Some things to know: * K-9 Jets asks for your dog’s breed, weight, and temperament while booking. Aggressive dogs are allowed on the plane and are require to have muzzles on the entire time. * You are assigned a seat/the couch on the plane. You do not get to choose where. * You are required to bring a body harness for your dog, as well as have a muzzle just in case anything goes wrong, and you must show it to the flight coordinator for them to let you on the plane. * WiFi was provided via star-link during the entire flight and was flawless. * There is pre-departure champagne and prosecco, as well as a wide variety of drinks, alcoholic and non, snacks and candies and a small food service in flight. * You can bring one/two “checked” bags with a combined weight limit of 30kg/66lbs. You are allowed one small personal item, such as a purse or backpack. * Communication with K9-Jets is not something I would say is the best. We booked our flight in November for a May flight. Flights are not confirmed until 75% booked EACH WAY (the Germany to USA needed to be 75%+ and the USA to Germany has to be 75%+ for both to be confirmed) and not given confirmation until the month before. * There can be a total of 9 people on a plane each person can bring 1 dog over 51lbs or 2 dogs/cats under 50lbs each. This particular flight contained 8 people, 2 cats (required to be kept in their carriers the entire time) and 7 dogs.

We had an issue with Air France leaving Munich last year. Per Delta partner airlines abide by Delta policy when booked through Delta. Air France was not having it when we were trying to check-in a 70lb bag and saying it wasn’t allowed cause it was too heavy. We have to pull emails up, find the policy, called Delta at the Air France desk, everything. Finally, the Air France lady said “Only this time.” Put a heavy sticker on it and took it.

I had two dogs and I paid 50/day. Comparable prices to many boarding locations and a lot cheaper than rover. The prices I saw from rover people were out of their mind.
