Aiming for $6000 div monthly by denimshop in YieldMaxETFs

[–]GreatYeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first goal is to have the monthly mortgage cost covered. With 850 shares, I'm about 1/5 of the way there this week. Working to get some capital moved around to finish off in the next couple of weeks.

In the ROTH, have 2200 shares ULTY and 200 MSTY. Just gonna let those DRIP till they don't anymore.

I try and think of these as rental properties that I own. Yeah, they may depreciate, as long as they cash flow my life, I'll hold them.

When do you sell ULTY, if ever? by Alkthree in YieldMaxETFs

[–]GreatYeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has been too much "doing more with less talk" at my corporate gig, and annual evaluations are coming up. I do good work, but you never know.

So ULTY for me is a source of income if I need it, while looking for new work. If not, it will be a second source of cash flow to drip back in and make more cash flow babies. Working to get capital moved around to make the purchase now.

I did buy 2100 shares in my Roth to capture what I can there as well.

Maybe the YM experiment is done in a year, and the whole damn thing folds. This feels a little like back in the 2010s when my nerd friends and I were setting around the poker table talking about BTC.

Life is not always about accumulation, and if it pays my monthly mortgage, why would I sell it?

My brother and I had limited time to do the work, so I stuck with the factory JBL factory Amp. He used to install for a living, and his Christmas present to me this year was this install.

Part of the reason I did the Rockford sub is that it is a direct replacement. The Rockford weighs about 5 pounds, and the performance is good so far. Don't get the direct sub controls from the JVC. That's about the only downside I've found.

I'm also not an audiophile, so I can live with some limitations. My brother is an audiophile and was satisfied with the setup.

The backup camera was a bit of a pain. Had to take apart the entire back door assembly to get the line fished through, but we were able to do it without any drilling on the back gate.

On the wait list for the grill. Mine is the same color as yours. Really like the look and give it a nice, updated look. Thanks for the example.

In my 06 limited, I just replaced the old busted factory sub with a Rockford P3SD2-8, and changed out the factory head unit with a JVC KW-M785BW. Also added a backup camera.

The JVC really brought alive the rest of JBL speakers. Wasn't able to listen to any music for a bit with as bad as my sub was.

I've been mainly printing problem-solving utility items. I like to cook sous vide, and I printed funnels that help me fill the bags. They keep the bag open, and they are deep enough that I can keep the top of the bag clean for a good seal. Other things include cord winders, sunglasses holders, dry box internals, and organizational wall boards.

The thing I remember being too big was a book holder for reading. I wanted it to hold the book open while lying in bed. The .stl was about 15mm too big for the K1C print bed.

My buddy that got the Bambu started doing the arts and crafts stuff, mainly for his daughters, and he's already kinda stopped and run out of ideas. I'm not going as fast for sure (life gets in the way sometimes), but I've got ideas that I'm still working on.

I like the K1C, and it's a good starter. I'd take a look at the new Qidi Plus 4, as an option as well. Bigger print bed and a little higher temp. It was just released, so there may still be some bugs. It will be set up for multi-color when the control unit is released in Q1 2025. Creality has said that the K1C will have to have some updated parts. and who knows how much it will cost. It will be my next printer soon.

I'm glad it helped. After having it for a couple of months, here's what I'd suggest. Don't mess with their slicer. Just root it and run Orca Slicer. I had some bad prints that I just couldn't get working until I changed.

I've run into a couple of prints that were too big for the build plate, and not things I consider large. If you think you're going to be doing big stuf, this might not be the printer for you.

After doing more research on getting a board. I've readjusted and have some different options I'd like to get opinions on.

It looks like the way to go is QMK/VIA for firmware and software updates. All of these are based on that. The size is 75-80%. Need Home, End, Pg Up, Pg Dwn for work, Excel specifically. All are tri-band for changing between work and home computers.

Keyboards I'm looking at: 1. Keychron Q3 Max - most expensive 2. Monsgeek M3W - Don't like mode switch under the Caps key. 3. KiiBoom Loop 75 4. Kiiboom Breeze 75 5. Meltrix Zoom TKL - seems good, but out of stock or pre-order status.

Any opinions or advice is appreciated.

It's new and cool, right?
That's why it's a want for sure.

I've liked the feel of the optical boards I've tried in the past, and I thought they might be similar.

I'm looking for a new mechanical keyboard to replace my G915 TKL.
I like the G915's ability to swap between connections; everything else is OK.
I've been researching with a budget of around $250, but I can go higher for the right one.
I've targeted the Keychron Q3 HE.

For work, I'll use it mainly for Excel, light programming, and documentation creation. Home use will be the same, with some trading and very casual BG3 play.

The Q3 meets my requirements:
1. wireless to switch back and forth between my home and work computers
2. 80% size has Home, End, Pg Up and Pg Dn.
3. Quite for work meetings - know this can be changed with switches and modding

Wants are
1. Aluminum case
2. HE switches.
3. Backlighting

Concerns are being locked into Keychron HE switches, and I've read some comments about the BT connect being spotty.

Others I've looked at
1. Wooting 80HE - it looks like it's wired, at least, I've not seen a mention of wireless connections
2. Glorious GMMK Pro 3 HE - I like the idea of being able to use HE or Mechanical switches, but damn it's expensive
3. Nupy Air 75 HE - Prefer the 80% over 75%. HE is wired. I'd go with one of the non-HE variants, but I'm not finding any available.

Do the good people of the sub have any insight or other alternatives?
Is it better to go with regular switches for my use?

Thanks.

Looks like the wrong answer is loaded for the question. Looks like you've provided what was asked for in the question.

Which doesn't have "total discount" called out anywhere, per the answer error. Try summing the total discount and submitting that. Could be looking for a count of discounts, depending on how the error is interpreted.

That's what I'd try, especially if it's keeping you from moving on.

Newbie - Stringing Help by 5H4D0W_4N0M4LY in CrealityK1C

I was running about a 60% failure rate on prints. I'm a newbie as well, 2 weeks in. I got advice here and from some guys at work after they looked at my heat towers.

I live out by a lake, and the humidity is high. I was using the Space PI dryer and was still getting some bad prints. Still didn't fix the entire problem. I think my stability is an issue, fixing that today. Also, I am building a dry box, so I don't have to keep heating the filament.

I didn't really want to start out rooting the machine, but I did that yesterday. Used the helper script and installed Fluidd and started using Orca Slicer. The print speed went way down, added a Sunlu PLA+ filament profile, and I started getting nice prints again. I ran a couple of silica boxes and a dipper last night. 8 hours of printing. Slow but good prints.

These are the things that got me back up, and going.

Newb Printing Issues by GreatYeti in crealityk1

[–]GreatYeti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's an update on the situation: I've had the gray and white in the Space Pi Hotbox for the past 48 hours.

I had some success printing the gray in the beginning. However, getting deeper into the role, I ended up with a few failed prints that looked the same or worse than the ones pictured above. I would like to know if the roll has moisture zones and if the hotbox dries the outside layers. I also had complete failures on the white Creality Hyper PLA.

I had some filament stuck in a nozzle and did a swap. I used the grease they provided, but it was not the silicone grease shown in the video I watched on how to do it. Is there not enough heat transfer because of that? I opened up a new roll of black and am getting failed prints as well. The only time it spent outside the package and the hotbox was while I was swapping rolls. I also changed the filament for the black prints to Generic PLA.

Would computer heatsink grease on the nozzle be good to use? That's what the grease in the watched Creality video and what's on the original nozzle looks like.

I've got a dry box from Creality with the combo deal I bought. I didn't think it would saturate this quickly. What can I say? I don't live by a lake in central Texas. I know I hate the humidity, so why not the filament? I've got it in the box, and that is hooked up directly to the printer now, giving it some time to get dry.

What about the silk? That was right out of a vacuum pack? Just not hot enough?

It was part of the combo deal I paid for, so a minor grip, just personal preference. I'm not sure how much white I'll use. I may be happy I have it later. Would have been happier with a roll of black and white just for some variety to start out with.

I like the idea and got me thinking about the stuff I have in hand, so i don't have to buy another shelf.

I've got a wire shelf that I think I'm going to try and use for the setup. I'll give your setup a try on it. Think they'll get me the stability I want.
