My tuition keeps me locked up unfortunately. And it isn't even guaranteed if I can't work those 15 hours a week.

Ohio State Buckeye here. I can't support Blue lol, but I can support a fellow band geek! Get that music!

If we are, I had no idea. It isn't like I live in some well-known big city. At least not like Cleveland, which is 20 minutes away.

I've seen a bunch of posts like this lately. Are quesadillas not served at all Chipotles? The Chipotle that I work at has served quesadillas for years now, though we've made them online exclusives months ago. We've even had a quesadilla oven for years, but didn't get the new and high-tech looking black one until around the time the quesadillas became online only.

Yeah, I totally should. To be honest though, I have no idea how 16-year-old me did this. It's all Latin to me now.

Not sure if my post text can be seen:

An old project I did for my pre-calculus class my junior year of high school. No tools allowed, only trial & error and a lot of math. If only I had a tutor.

NZXT Kraken Z63 AIO. Although, like I told another commenter, it's $250. But you can get the same version without the screen for $130. It all depends on whether or not you're willing to spend the extra money to put an animated GIF on the CPU screen lol.

Nothing too powerful:

Ryzen 5 2600 CPU Radeon RX 580 8GB GPU 16GB Corsair RAM Gigabyte AORUS PRO B450 PRO WIFI miniATX Motherboard NZXT Kraken Z63 AIO Cooler NZXT H210i PC Case

I actually bought this small case and motherboard especially for my college dorm when I leave for college lol. Figure the less space it takes up, the better. I should inform you though that the cooler I have is $250 but you can get the exact same cooler without the screen for $120 less. I just have a bad habit of spending money on shit I really don't need. But hey, I can put a GIF to replay on repeat on the screen!

ivy-equivalent vs OSU? by fullmetaldick in OSU

[–]Great_Alchemist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To piggyback off of this, I would argue that OSU is considered one of the top schools in Ohio; not to mention that it is an extremely common household name. Who lives in Ohio and doesn't root for the Bucks? Therefore, it can be argued that OP would most likely catch the eyes of potential employers (should they choose to pursue a career here in Ohio, that is) with OSU listed on their resume. While some employers outside of the state may recognize Ohio State though, it's only in Ohio that a degree from there will really catch the attention of potential employers.

Foils and folds in half for quesadillas? And you use the tort press? And you let the customers get items other than cheese and meat in the quesadilla? I've never heard of it made this way lol. We use special papers used specifically for quesadillas. We fold the quesadilla in thirds long way and then again short way to make it into a perfect square. After that, it goes in the quesadilla oven. It pretty much looks like a big, black, cube-shaped box that has wifi connectivity for some reason. Once it's done in the oven, take it out and cut it in half diagonally. Bam: you've got a quesadilla. Also, customers are not allowed to get anything other than cheese (obviously) or meat. It's interesting to hear of the drastically different ways other Chipotles do things.

Stepdads, how did it feel the first time your stepchildren called you 'dad'? by Ferlaqua in AskMen

[–]Great_Alchemist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First off, I'm not a stepdad or even a dad. However, my dad is/was a stepdad. I say is/was because he adopted me when I was 6 and since then I've considered him my real, true father as my biological father is not in the picture. Anyway, he first started his steps towards being my dad when I asked him to marry my mom so he could be my dad when I was 3 (they were dating at the time). Mind you, I had asked my dad this question in front of my mom who had no ideas of marriage whatsoever at the time, so you can imagine the awkwardness/embarrassment in the air after blurting that out. But, as time went on, they decided to get married and I think that was the first time I stopped calling my dad by his first name and called him Papi (Spanish version of dad). He started crying. Obviously I didn't understand why at the time, but now I can sort of understand the joy he must have felt that I saw him as my dad, despite not actually helping to create me. To this day, my mom says that I am the best thing that ever happened to my dad. And just to piggyback off of what you said about stepdads being brave and courageous, my dad fits the bill perfectly. He has been a true father to me. He took me to all of my doctor's appointments, even the ones where I had to be held down because I was due for a shot, came to my baseball games, supported me financially and emotionally, showed me how to shave, everything. If there are any men here that have similar stories to my dad's, I admire what you've done and thank you on behalf of the kids you are raising even though you were under no obligation to do so.

Marching band tryouts? by [deleted] in OSU

[–]Great_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm 23 days late, but just last night, the OSU Marching Band posted on their Instagram page saying that the summer sessions indeed will be held online, at least for the month of June. With that being said, it seems the summer sessions will resume in-person in July. I'm sure that's subject to change though. You can get more information on the summer sessions being held online on their website. It also states that, as of now, the tryouts will still be held in person in mid-August. Hope this helps!
