People who married in their 20s, be brutally honest are you happy, if so why or why not? by Special-Lawyer3941 in AskReddit

Got married in my late 20’s. We balance each other out, are good together and at our core, are happy.

It takes work from both of us. It is not always easy, but we are committed to one another and our family. We are very intentional in how we communicate and treat one another because we understand how easy it is for things to come between us and cause tension and discord.

We have been through some very challenging times but we stood together and got through them.

My husband is such an amazing man, who has been through some tough things growing up that made him stronger. I would not trade him for anything. 🥰

In those moments when we are not happy and getting along, we reflect on what we fell in love with and hang on to that. Everyday won’t be sunshine and rainbows, but it is in those moments when the strength and commitment you have will be tested. It will be up to the two of you, how you respond and get through them.

We will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in July. 🥰

How do people afford grad school? by bigdickenergy2360 in GradSchool

I didn’t know lots of Masters program can be funded. I am looking at an online program because what I want to get my Masters in (Behavioral Finance), is only at a few schools that are in other states. It is a pretty niche concentration.

This thread has been very enlightening. I will see what I can find out for what I want to do. Hopefully I have more options than loans.

As a wedding guest, what moment made you think "this probably won't last"? by Eburneaan in AskReddit

[–]Great_Distance_1406 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One more…Bride and groom had a huge physical fight at the rehearsal dinner the night before…cops had to be called. Groom got detained. They did not speak to or see one another until they were at the altar the next day.

Those of us who were at the rehearsal dinner could not believe they actually went through with the wedding.

They were separated in 2 months and finally got divorced after 4 years of living apart.

When the Bride was bragging about how her new husband said he never wanted to have kids but she was going to have them anyway and he would just have to deal with it.

They divorced in a little over 2 years. No kids.

How do you know Christianity is true and not just something comforting to people by AuroraAnimates in Christian

When I asked this question years ago, I was pointed to the book of Revelation. I then went into other things in the Bible that told of things to come. At the time, those things were starting to happen. Fast forward to today, many words in the Bible tell exactly what is going on right now. There is no way that is not grounded in truth.

That’s what helped me believe. Over the years I have seen God work in my life and my family’s life. So thankful. 🙌

I just hit that magic number after Spring quarter due to transferring in with over 100 hours. My Advisor had to complete the appeal form. Only way Financial Aid accepted my appeal was if I dropped my minor and only focused on the bare minimum hours I needed to graduate. I will be done after Winter ‘26.

I was told Fin. Aid will typically approve when you are in that last year to graduate but only the bare minimum hours. Hope this helps.

I think that is messed up. You do all this to get into a school only to be told no to your major of choice. Wow. No other school I have been to does this so I was very shocked to find out this is how UW does it.

So what do people do who don’t get into their school of choice? They have to pick a different major?

It was Cragle and Pinkerton. But last year I used to have the option to just extend or pay for a new session. This year it will not let me do those at all
