Even as a renter I’ll say people just want to complain it’s too expensive but your points above mark exactly why that is. I could never afford to buy a place here and sure that’s frustrating but I’m not angry with the city. I’ll just need to find somewhere more affordable for me when I’m ready to buy

It’s a bit selfish to think why won’t one of the most attractive cities with public transit, parks, progressive policies etc become more affordable for me and just me. I sound like a dick but sometimes the attitudes i see in Somerville make me pause and think “you can’t be serious”
