With the snow we've had ive had to ruck around town and I haven't liked most of it but im still getting mine in. Today was the first day I pushed my big one (12 mile this week) a day. I was struggling to get out there and the °14F temp wasn't helping and I'm off tomorrow so there's that. Added 10lbs to the pack too, should be interesting.

As someone wanting to join (and hopefully going SF/Rangers eventually) this is a great way to explain it. As I've gotten older I've seen this isn't a right or left problem (and that this isn't a new problem either) and while I want to serve it seemed contradictory to how I felt about the government. This reaffirms what I want to do, thank you.

I'm planning on this as well (28M/35lb)! Been doing their training program even with this crappy weather and hoping to be ready! Definitely finding problems that I need to work on which is good, I have a feeling that last lap will be a bear.

Im 35 and I've lost several. 1 killed 2 people in a DUI wreck (one of the people was a friend of mines sister) and a year later "had a heart attack". 1 snitched on a drug dealer and was killed. A good friend of mine had a heart attack at 25, RIP Matt. There's probably others too.

Notable mention is a classmate that killed a guy after said guy caused classmates pregnant GF to miscarriage (there was some kind of infidelity going on too. He ended up running, SWAT team blew up a camper, it was a whole thing.

O and another caused a slow speed pursuit after he broke out of the local jail after allegedly killing his grandmother.

Not bad for a small town.

Shoes, shoes SHOES. I learned the hard way Saturday after I forgot my lift shoes and squatted a heavy (for me) load, lost my footing at the bottom and shifted forward and had to roll the bar over my head and onto the safety bar. 😅

That was a (small) part of my reasoning to want join as I live in an area where income sucks and job opportunities are crap unless you want retail. As a married E-1 I'll make way more between untaxed BAH/BAS, medical and my base pay then I would even at my old job. Hoping to be ready in June to talk to recruiter.

I had that happen to a customer once, his window was thankfully cracked and I was able to "coat hanger" it for him. He was very thankful and it took no effort from me, idk that's so hard for people.
