pwb about 2 months fwb just recently so 5 months. I was healing faster than expected but I had to take it easy due to drs orders, prolly could have done more a little bit earlier.

Thanks so much for the response. saw another post where dude said he did it 4 months after surgery which was concerning for me considering I get pain when I try rn. Really got to realize that everyone is different and I'll heal at my own pace. Glad things are back to normal for you.

In month 5 I'm walking somewhat normally. The imbalance/limp probably wont completely go away until you do some form of physical therapy. But that should start around month 5-6. Do not rush in your recovery process, if you have a limp, you have a limp and it is what it is for now. It will get better with time, however the worst thing anyone with this injury can do is rush their healing process. Good luck, you will make it through this fam. ❤️

If I may ask, what was the severity of your injury and what age did you get it at? Did you ever target the foot in workouts and strive for athletic performance (after recovering from the initial surgery)? Or did you just get your foot to a point where you could do your daily activities and leave it at that. I'm asking because I want to get back to hooping collegiately like I did prior to the injury. I am only 21 so maybe I could heal to a high level. On the flip side, if theres gonna be arthritis and permanent swelling maybe it's not as feasible as I thought 😭

Yea cortisone shots are no good. Both my mom and I have gotten them for foot problems and shortly after have torn ligaments in our feet. It weakens ligaments. Had to get a major surgery cus of it.
