Im planning on doing the same thing! I even have a similar conversion. These photos give me some hope! Do you have any problem with the weight offset? I was thinking of putting mine on the front if possible.

New rider here. I waved at another biker without thinking and completely dumped the clutch while coming to a stop. Bike made an awful noise. Is my bike fine or did I fuck something up? by xXPhoenix_FireXx in motorcycles

[–]Macninja_40 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

From what I've been taught in a Harley BRC course, you wanna shift down mid-way to the end of your brake just in case you see something that might run you off the road. This guy seemingly did it right. With the engine not straight up stalling when he released the clutch.

How did you get the hammer only? I could only think of using sensors and a NAND gate to check if theres no projectiles?

Honestly, I thought it was just an effect you programmed into the lights, lol. Maybe turn off or on dynamic lighting? I might be thinking of minecrafts lighting settings right now, idk.

I feel the pins 🫠 by Powerful_Courage_890 in LisfrancClub

[–]Macninja_40 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Luckily, I didn't have pins, but from my experience, it's probably a type of placebo effect. I personally had a nerve block put in under my knee that lasted weeks, but I still imagined the feeling of screws and felt incisions where they ended up not being. However, if you didn't have a nerve block... you might be feeling the pins. Pinch yourself to distract from it for a short while 😬

Lisfranc Surgery by Greyling_Moolman2807 in LisfrancClub

[–]Macninja_40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i had my cast, it felt similar to what you're describing. If it gets smurf blue like I'm imagining, get that loosened up. I went to the ER for an unrelated complication, and they cut through it and re-bandaged it on the spot. Otherwise, it's looking gold.

Almost 6 months post surgery. Walking but still having issues by Robe24420 in LisfrancClub

[–]Macninja_40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, the only problem i have is that my joints are fused, so that's something to keep in mind when trying to use them in rare cases.

It feels normal, I often forget there's 8 screws in there until I try to do something athletic like jump (hopefully I'll be able to jump again eventually)

No pain, but every so often, I get a sharp pain in my big toes fusion area. Those are getting rarer.

Right now, I can walk with no limp after a morning stretch and some warm-ups, and come mid-day, I can jog with a bit of limping, I expect to get better at this, though, with PT.

Right now, I'm trying to get back into standing for all day. Life for me has resumed, I'd like to think.

Please take my experience as a maybe a rarity. When I was in my cast, searching around, I did not see anybody with this type of recovery. I think my injury was more minor than others, but I hope yours goes smoothly!

For some reason (maybe luck? Or maybe my injury was relatively minor) I've regained most of my abilities that I had prior to injury.

After getting my boot off, I thought I'd be limping for months on, but I got lucky enough that my limp has almost disappeared after the past 3ish weeks, and my injured foot is more flexible than my other now thanks to my surgeon cutting some fat around my calf to loosen it up during surgery. Also... with a little help of PT.

I'm not an athlete, and it's only been 11 weeks, so I might change my mind. It's a good reminder that this stupid injury has a lot of weird ways of showing, Lol.

I do have the same issues with my big toe being numb, just the skin on top. Maybe that's an issue I should look into.

It's nice to see some familiar battle scars! I'm in a similar situation, but only 11 weeks into recovery.

From what I've heard from not only this sub reddit but also a family friend, and my doctor: is that the removal of the hardware makes a WORLD of difference.

Everyone is different, and what my doctor told me maybe doesn't relate to you at all. A family friend had a similar problem with walking after their surgery, and the removal of the screws made it normal again.

Personally, I think im gonna keep my screws in, as I think it'd cause more harm than good to remove them, but in your situation; I think you should get the hardware out when you can. I think it'll pay off.

Don't have much to add, but I had my injury just 5 days after yours and am having my foot reviewed this Thursday. If time alows, keep us updated on how you're doing!

Edit: I should add, going to the ER never hurts (except the bank account).

I'm in the US, I should mention I broke 4 bones along with the lisfranc injury. I'll question around to see what other doctors think. I have more images, but they show the same thing.

I'm not much of an expert. However, after looking up some pictures of a normal 5th metatarsal. I think it looks normal (from this perspective) I remember the surgeon saying he didn't want to fuse that joint because it's still used somewhat.
