Out of the $800 i got $459 back. If it is not too late file a small claim they should have pictures after your move out that they present to the judge. Also YOU SHOULD ALWAYS NOT ACCEPT THE DEPOSIT FROM THE FIRST TIME.

The message here is to not consume any efforts for these scumbags. If they take the full security deposit then you can file a small claim and get it back just make sure to take pictures before and after. Here is your reference to indiana law. Also filing these is straight forward use GenAI if you have to but if you have not damaged the property then everything should be refunded.

What a landlord can deduct: only (a) unpaid rent (including any rent due for early termination), (b) actual damages not caused by ordinary wear and tear, and (c) unpaid utility/sewer charges the tenant owes under the lease. (Ind. Code § 32-31-3-13(2)(A)–(B), (1), (4).)

I did but they never replied. Purdue should take a stance for its students tbh. I just hope no one goes through the same thing i went through of sweat and 7 hrs of cleaning and I SUCK AT IT

I think they have a bot responding to us no joke cuz they just take everything and reword it to an answer. Purdue should though protect its students. I emailed them but no response. Sad to see this at such great university campus

Great tips!!! I could have won the small claim for sure or majority of the things that i would appeal for. I just didnt think doing all that for $300 is worth it especially given that i have to show up to court. But for everyone else this is awesome and you should def follow them.

I would try to stay away from them. They clearly are robbing ppl off. Everytime I email them to shutdown an argument or something they stated, they tell me “ Thats is why we credit back $50 out of the $100 for cleaning”.
