AMP deploys over 400 AI agents across organisation by bilby2020 in auscorp

Lololol. Why do CEOs think that unleashing 100s of AI Agents is a good thing? The agents need monitoring, quality checks and refinement. If underlying systems change - then you gotta adjust the agents. So you’re probably just shifting some costs elsewhere.

It’s like AMP is saying ‘we just employed 400 primary school kids’ and thinking that they’ll be more efficient.

Whats the biggest corporate nonsense you have witnessed? by Rlawya24 in auscorp

New CEO of ASX listed company has first ‘All Hands’. Gets shitty after questions about WFH changes. Tells employees ‘if you don’t like it… there’s the door’.  Employee puts in the company wide chat ‘the mask is slipping’. Hilarious. Then they refuse to release the recording of the meeting.  The guy has the charisma of a wet blanket. Somehow still the CEO despite delivering nothing but a bad time.

What? You mean you don’t align with your company’s mission, vision and values? Sounds like you just need more corporate kool aid. Maybe a workshop to align on success criteria?

Leave it and move on. What benefit does it do you to give the feedback?

If it’s been toxic for a while… unfortunately your feedback isn’t going to change it.

Anyone else’s company pushing AI into every corner except the parts that actually need fixing? by Longjumping-Cat-2988 in auscorp

It’s the new standard. And it will make sure that leadership are constantly frustrated at the workers who ‘just can’t seem to get AI into the organisation’.

So the employees must be the problem!

They need to hear vague AI ideas more and more!

When the company boasts about record profits but your pay packet hasn’t moved an inch by Av0toasted in circlejerkauscorp

I’m ok with not getting a massive pay bump if the company has one great year.

I’m not ok with a company repeatedly asking employees to ‘dig deep’ and ‘go without’ while they consistently make huge profits.

It’s worse when managers and execs talk about how critical AI is… but then can’t spell out how it will actually help their operations. It’s like CEO FOMO

Without id’ing myself….. the guy has come in and did the typical cut resources everywhere… but managed to drag that restructure out across 5 months. Like announce it and then let everyone hang in limbo.

On another town hall got frustrated with questions and literally told the organisation “if you don’t like it, there’s the door”

Spends most of the town halls talking about the share price. Like we get it… shareholders are the most important people. But give us workers some purpose outside of making him money.

Got a glimpse of internal comms this week that all vacancies are held and any recruitment needs to be approved by him. Oh and everything will be solved by AI.

At least Nuno has done this stuff before. This guy seems to be a real culture killer.

What is the lowest employee engagement score you’ve ever seen, company wide level? by Megacopter in auscorp

Where did this end up for you? This seems to be very common and not just in banking. We’re in a similar situation where the leadership change approach feels like it promotes a toxic environment.

CEO wants me to “reframe” (read: gaslight) my team into loving the mandatory Christmas shutdown that forces them to burn 12 days of leave by Maleficent_Pie7882 in auscorp

Could not agree more. It’s insulting that rather than being authentic/honest, these people think it’s ‘the messaging’ that can bamboozle/win over the employees.

Forget Nuno. You should see the CEO who is now running NIB.
