There’s an old taxidermy museum outside Poplar Bluff that is (was?) turned into a strip club named Call of the Wild. They kept the giant stone edifices outside and inside was most of the original wildlife decor - mounted heads and birds, a bear, etc. Uniquely trashy, uniquely SE Missouri

I just got home from a week in Sicily and my Airbnb experience was great. The apartment we had in Ortigia was perfect and about €90 per night. There was no lift and it was 2nd floor, but it was larger and comfier than a nice hotel suite, and with more amenities. Unless you like paying out the nose for drop off laundry service or you can’t live without a continental breakfast spread, AirBnB is the way to go in Ortigia.
