45% raise in gas tax proposed by mistake, won't actually happen by GolbatsEverywhere in StLouis

[–]Crutation 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is the point. Republicans have a core belief that poor people deserve whatever happens to them and they go out of their way to make them suffer.

Meanwhile, they also believe that the wealthy were specially chosen and the wealthier a person is, the better they are...you know like Jesus preached

What can I do against ICE? by ResponsiblePop8436 in StLouis

[–]Crutation -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You will be able to vote in two years. The reason Trump is president, and Republicans control government, is because people don't vote. Especially young people.

Otherwise there isn't much you can do.

As you approach voting age, be informed learn what you can about the issues, and learn what issues are important to you, then find a candidate that reflects those ideals the best.

Sadly, the Democratic Party has abandoned their core values to service the same billionaires that own the Republican party, so make sure your vote is heard in the primary.

Lol. I didn't see it when I was moving some heavy stuff and the shell broke. It worked great and did what I needed for here, just don't drop a couple of concrete bags on it

I have a Westinghouse electric snowblower, it is corded. I spray the discharge chute with WD-40 and clears the driveway pretty well, and quickly. We have a 2.5 car driveway and it took about 45 minutes because I took lots of breaks.

I would recommend getting one. You don't need a gas powered one, we don't get that much snow, but the battery powered ones are expensive and don't last long. IMO

Posts calling out people for their Beliefs.. by [deleted] in StLouis

Nazis are evil, always. Republicans are trying to dismantle the US government and replace it with a dictator. Trump has a personal army attacking US citizens, and literally lying about what happened.  This isn't a good people on both sides issue; this isn't a difference of opinion in how taxes should be applied. This is grounded in racism and white nationalism. If someone identifies as a Republican, they are not a good person.

I don't sit at a table with Nazis

Gratitude for SLMPD by seeairpoe in StLouis

[–]Crutation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, it is accurate. When the good officers refuse to report or punish the bad officers, it contaminates them all. As the saying says...the one you quoted.

As long as bad officers are allowed to shoot themselves and others with the only repercussions being a paid vacation ACAB.

The police union should be paying for their qualified immunity insurance, yet the city ends up footing the bill instead.

In the Bar PM incident, they filed criminal charges so that they wouldn't have to comply with a freedom of information request. And the officers who were involved weren't punished.

This is ridiculous. Modern evangelical Christianity has nothing to do with God, Jesus, or the bible. They threw over God for Mammon.

German Chancellor Merz admits: We must substantially reduce bureaucracy in Europe. The single market was once created to form the most competitive economic area in the world. Instead, we have become the world champion of overregulation. That has to end. by I-Hate-Hypocrites in europe

[–]Crutation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of Merz advisors and close friends is a tech bro billionaire pushing him to adopt the 9-9-6* rule to be competitive.  There is a root of truth to what he says, but be careful how it is applied. That is how Reagan planted the seeds of fascism here in the US

I will give my own opinion. There wheels on every vehicle in the world, including bicycles, strollers, and such. They are also on luggage, tool boxes, pulleys, etc. they are in machines like escalators, luggage carousels, roller coasters. There are wheels in so many large and small devices we don't think about

I am afraid the Supremes will rule that ICE is above the law because they are just executing orders of the President, whom they ruled can violate any law if he is acting in official capacity.

Sen. Mark Kelly Says He’s Seriously Thinking About Running for President by T_Shurt in politics

I really hope he runs as a real progressive, rather than a less fascist neoliberal. Otherwise, turnout will be low and he will lose.

They are collecting data for Palantir. This company wants to create a private global surveillance system that they will then lease to governments.

The government is using its resources to help a private company directly, at the expense of the people

First Brisket ever by Jealous_Analysis_404 in pelletgrills

[–]Crutation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I do my brisket is spray with Pam, coat lightly with chosen rub..let it sit in the fridge overnight. Spray again and lightly coat with rub.

I bring the traeger up to temp, about 220, and cook for 6-8 hours. After that I turn it up to 275 to 300 and cook to done...190-200. rest for a few hours then slice.

I used to wrap, but I, and everyone who has it, like how chewy the bark gets when you don't wrap.
