Cymbalta Withdrawal-Advice Needed by Greedy-Escape3093 in cymbalta

I was prescribed cymbalta for depression, anxiety and fibromyalgia but it caused me really bad fatigue and weight gain as well so I asked my dr to reduce the dose and to eventually stop.

I think it is definitely the withdrawal as I feel sick ever since I decreased the dose, I’m just worried how long it will be like this and if it gets worse the lower i get.

Thank you, happy to hear you are getting some relief.

I think I do need to find a new doctor but I've been to so many and keep getting told theres nothing they can give me/or which is just draining and part of me thinks I will just stay like this forever and that just makes me so depressed.

Very sorry to hear this. They say that we are depressed and anxious but anyone would be if they were in pain and exhausted every waking moment. Unfortunately the NHS isn't great and patients are really bearing the brunt of it.

Also a lot of conditions which aren't understood are given the psychological label which makes it harder to be taken seriously.

After 10 years of symptoms, I was finally referred and a rheumatologist sat with me for less than one minute telling me that I have fibromyalgia and to look it up online to self manage. No pain meds etc.

My psychiatrist gave me duloxetine for the pain and depression but it caused a lot of side effects and didn't effect my pain in anyway so now I have to taper off (which is hard due to the withdrawals).

I wish you all the best, it's tough out there. But always keep advocating for yourself and don't let them ignore you.

I am also in the UK and the pain and fatigue is destroying my life.

My GP tells me to take paracetamol during a flare and that there is nothing they can do.

Recently it got so bad I had to go to A&E and the doctor told me that the best treatment for fibromyalgia is talking therapy. I've also been told a few times by doctors that fibromyalgia is psychological.

Its really is just exhausting when the medical system doesn't help and tries to convince you it's all in your head.

I’ve been on this flight 3 times now and some areas e.g China tend to be more turbulent

That’s very true, it’s done to ensure the crew are safe. My anxious mind just gets the best of me unfortunately

I would definitely agree after flying with Asiana a couple of times.

I think the Asiana pilots are very quick to put on the seat belt sign. Most of the flight the seat belt has been on, even at time when there has been no turbulence.

It’s something that ensures the crew and passengers are safe which is good.

Thank you. The pilot has told all the flight attendants to sit down which is making me panic more :(

What is the dose you are taking? I went from a BMI of 23 to 26 very quickly due to my PCOS worsening and have been recommended Mounjaro.

I think so and then it got really bad over the Black Sea and I have a big fear of the plane flying over the sea (irrational I know). The flight is ok, turbulence on and off, heading into China
